I saw an actress in a play, "Familiar" here last month, she was very talented, and incredibly beautiful, Olivia Washington, she has a role in the new season.

If that is her, I had no idea, I was at a forum where the cast talked to the audience, and she didn't carry herself like a celebrity at all, extremely graceful and humble. Wow. I'm kind of shocked, I was interacting vaguely with Denzel's daughter.

I was thinking like I'd ask her to have coffee or something, and she's Denzel's daughter lol

Season one sucked ass lol
Nah, you're bugging. Only thing I didn't like was that Thanksgiving episode. That was a big reach!

Damn breh, how did you get invited to something like that or was this something open to the public? :ohhh:

Also I think it's her or Denzel's daughter has the same name. Is this her?

Nah i already posted my gripes with the show in here. Imo a show about the Professional breh with his story line minus the main girl would be a dope show.

I just bought tickets to the play, and my date canceled last minute, so it was just me, and the play was so impressive, I stayed for the forum. 100% that is her. I read the write up on her in the playbill, and I just didn't make the connection. I complimented her scenes when I spoke, she was really good. We may have caught each others eyes once or twice lol I was in the first 3 rows. If we interacted like face to face, I would have 100% asked her to go out, she was sharp and very gracious to the aspiring actresses in the audience. She was talking about being a struggling actress in NYC!

Yeah I remember, you hate that it somewhat promotes sexual liberation aka a hoe lifestyle to black women lol. We had spoke about that before in this thread when the show was released. I also remember asking in this thread what the point of the story was and now that I think about it I feel like Spike created this just to challenge people's ideas on relationships, nothing more nothing less but just to show something different.

Personally I can't say it sucked, I disagree. I feel it was well put together even if it's plot is on some feminist shyt I don't agree with and it's soundtrack was cool too. Even the cinematography in the show was very dope imo.

Wow that's really dope breh. I'm surprised she comes off humble like that and it seems like Denzel isn't just giving her handouts for gigs either if she says she was a struggling actress. She probably had to really put in the work and take her craft serious which is a great thing and how I would do it if I was in Denzel's shoes. That's dope you got to be there to see her in person and to see her act.

I can't wait to see her on the show and I wonder what type of character they gave her.

not necessarily liberation but it was like there was no lesson for the main character. She literally just went through the show sh*tting on everyone then it ends with her dancing around with 3 of the people she sh*tted on all happy and willy. lol my girl didn't like the show either.

Yeah that's why I questioned the point of it but I still think it's put together well if that makes sense. I feel they do need to hold her accountable in some way though in order to strengthen the plot instead of just having one of the 3 dudes bail her out when shyt hits the fan for her charcter. She's selfish and is never forced to be accountable or learn anything.
