He was sleeping with mad other chicks, they made this abundantly clear (much clearer than Spike made it in the movie). And he didn't need Tinder to do it, he's a model/photographer, he was swimming in p*ssy lol

Being enamored with Nola was clearly about more than just sex tho.

I understood he had other options. The point is it never felt like he had a life outside of Nola. He just magically appeared when the story needed him to. Like running into Nola on the street or him walking into the restaurant bypassing the women for Nola.

I would have loved a scene of him not showing up cause Nola snapped her fingers.

Just like Chris Brown was all in on that chick he made famous despite all the other p*ssy at his fingertips, Greer was all in on Nola.

Jaime’s character is given screen time with his wife and son to flesh out his character. We don’t only learn about him through Nola’s eyes. So yes while it’s Nola’s story, the show went out of its way to make sure Jaime’s attraction made sense.

Mars is.... Mars but it fell in line with his puppy dog actions around her. Plus we see him in relation to how he fits in the neighborhood ala the Mayor and his ex.

Greer was supposed to be in the middle but he never came across anywhere near Jaime. Just a more swaggy version of Mars.

Nola is the Chris Brown in this show not Greer.

i'm on episode 1 and not feeling this at all. i don't like the chick and the men are all too animated, caricatures. i also have a HUGE pet peeve with overly decorated NY apartments in movies/tv shows. no one's spot ever looks like a typical apartment, BOHO shyt looks straight off the set of janet jackson's anytime anyplace.

where does this series go? if i don't like ep 1 should i keep going? am i not seeing 4-5 dudes runs up in her per episode after this?

edit: and the whole "my name isn't"...some shyt being thrown out by fake woke social media fems...i get it with some of the disrespectful names, but damn, a man trying to talk to you and says hello beautiful or sweetheart and this is disrespectful now? the fukk are you supposed to be called when someone doesn't know your name? miss? ma'am ? madame ?

Came in here to say the same, Puerto Rican Mars is trying too hard and don't even sound like he from New York.....im just not feeling it, the chick is fine but after that...meh the movie was much more enjoyable. I aint mad tho I'm assuming spike got a nice check. I DO like how they cut to Album covers to the songs that they use, that I am a fan of.

I think they should show the downside of her sleeping around because to be honest that would make things more realistic. A women sleeping around will catch feelings and try to trap one of them which is what thots do. Their needs to be some kind of consequences to her actions and some kind of accountability. I also do feel it encourages it because of the fact their is no consequences and their using the guise of feminism and freedom to support her actions and mentality.

this isn't true. but i do agree there is a downside that most women in these situations experience that doesn't seem like it's being painted realistically in this series. most women in these situations don't have men who are "there for them"/emotionally supportive - the men want sex from them and take them out occasionally, these dudes - all of em - ready to at any moment, there's loneliness in not having someone who is always there/not having a real relationship, there's the secret questioning of your character - no matter what you portray to others.

What, so you mean to tell me at least 9 times out of 10 a woman who is a thot don't catch feelings for one of the dudes she is giving the draws to?. From what I seen they usually do and they try to get one of the guys who don't know any better to wife them up Sometimes it be the guy's baby mother too that he ends up finding out was cheating and sleeping around heavily then he drops her and she uses the child against him.

Though you're right, all of them are simps and it gets worse. Wait till you get to the Thanksgiving episode Spike is a genius but I don't get the point of this show still and I also feel it's unrealistic.

yes, women are capable of smashing guys and not catching feelings. from my personal experience, the dudes i chose to be straight cut buddies - no blurred lines at all, maybe we'd hang out at the house or a bar, but nothing more - were nikkas who looked good AF and offered pretty much nothing else but sex appeal and good dikk. like they had no qualities that would make me want to be with them - no degree, no decent job, didn't come from a good family, can't talk about anything besides rap sports and street shyt, etc. very easy to keep men in the "smash only" box when they're not partner material. this gets a little harder with women who aint shyt or dont have much to offer, but when you got a big lifestyle/value gap between the two, it's easy.



and WTF @ this show, she's smashing her clo's ex (Mars) , of course there's a lesbian escapade , and shes paying a fukking professional therapist in art this show is stupid AF...and before anyone says something, i have it on in the BG as i "work from home" today

Maybe you're an exception but I'm speaking on women who usually have a lot of sexual partners and who are loose but even in general, a lot of women end up falling for guys who are as you put it are "not partner material". Dudes who will borrow the car, eat up their food, cheat and depend on them for money. It happens very often but even thots fall for these guys sometimes and get dikkmatized but the problem with thots are they are never satisfied or didn't get love from a father so they go looking for love bed to bed. Even if they have a man who loves them they will still cheat due to past rejection and a desire to fill the void of the past love they never had. It's a deep topic but I find most women are not able to be only friends with benefits and women who are thots usually do fall for one of the guys that are smashing them due to feeling all used up and wanting a real relationship.

you're going off stereotypes. i'm a woman - please take it from me, there are just as many women who can have no strings attached sex as there are those who end up catching feelings. don't get it twisted when a woman is interested in a guy yet "settles" for the fukk buddy situation and starts showing her feelings down the line, those feelings were already there. that's different from going into a friends with benefits situation where you don't feel anything for the guy and maintain a lack of feelings
