Yo @gluvnast good looks my nikka, this movie hard as fukk. It look old as hell but at the same time it's so brooklyn. They even mention the 41 bus, I take that bus almost every fukking day :dead: WOW!

Spike Lee the fukking goat :wow:

Also I hate opal the lez! I didn't know she was lez watching the first episode of the show. On another note though, why the hell is Jamie's character so weird in the show. In the movie I actually was pulling for him but you can't save a hoe. I also don't get the take away unless it's that you can't save a hoe :yeshrug:

Issa ATTEMPTED to be a hoe and saw she wasn't built for that life like most women arent and insecure did a great job on showing the consequences. From what I saw earlier on in this thread outside of the lesbo the other men characters are just there and seem weak. Insecure legit had black men all united wanting to see Lawerence win.

Facts, Lawrence we wanted to see win when compared to the weirdo males of the She's gotta have it universe. Issa was also bad as a hoe as you mentioned and suffered the consequences, in the movie for this at least there seemed to be no consequences. At the end she just for the most part admitted she was a hoe and was reclaiming her sexuality. To me it seems like some kind of weird kinky feminist polyandry propaganda. I don't get it :francis:

Edit: She is reclaiming her self and not letting society define her. Is that the point?

His wife said outright he's 40 years old. Also, Nora herself said she's 27. But I agree Jamie is the best, most rounded, character. Off of 1st glance, you would of assumed he was some square ass uncle Tom that cannot identify his own blackness. But the truth is that this was a nikka from the streets that made it, and STILL HAVE TIES with the street. However, once he made it, he got married to a woman who he thought fit his status and with that changed a part of himself that he's ashamed of. I think he's attracted to Nora because she's the woman that liberates him, but his fear of not going out like his own father who left him is why he still in that dead end marriage. His wife is a total bytch... I hate he's stuck in that situation for the sake of his own son.
nah jamie is a sucka. he never liked his wife anyways. he used her for a come up :yeshrug: and said fukk it once he got what he wanted. Cheryl > Nola

Yeah this is propaganda lol

Will put a lot of batteries in young dumb girls but in real life they will have to deal with stds, pregnacies among other things. Also the dudes on this simply arent realistic outside of her simply dealing with simps. Aint no man sitting waiting for a woman who only sees him as a smash buddy unless he is a simp. Going on dates with a freak and stuff like that? Hell nah

**Just finished it, I enjoyed but didn't like the ending but I guess they ended it like that
to open it up for season 2.

**Fun fact: Spike Lee once said he regrets writing in the rape scene in the original ''Shes Gotta Have It'' (1986)
