Wow. A reasonable response from you. I'm impressed. I agree with all of this except for the black people being pimped part.
All my responses have been reasonable. How could you agree with everything I said but the part about blacks being pimped? You're exhibit A homie. Not only do you not take issue with Hollywood and the media misrepresenting the movie, you're actually caping for it, defending it tooth and nail. You got pimped. The jokes on you.

Yeah.

And now comes out your resume.

Like I said:

That's type A arrogance on your part. Telling us we're distracted while you've probably made 50 posts in here, yet you're the only one capable of doing both things while us lowly niqqas aren't on your level.

Being distracted has nothing to do with posting on the coli. It's about being concerned with the wrong things.

I never said you were a lowly nikka. I said your discontent was misguided

:comeon:

I'm done with this conversation with you bruh.

You're straight arrogant and pigheaded.

You drew up some "that's racist" screenplay to push forth your little arrogant belief that somehow, we're incapable of being concerned about other things while calling Django what we called it.

You're arrogant as fukk bruh. Calling Django something opposite of what you agree with in your eyes means you're too distracted to be concerned with other things...and now....our concern are "misguided." :what:

That's plain DUMB

Calling people stupid c00ns isn't reasonable. That was your first post that wasn't riddled with that kind of rhetoric.

I didn't get pimped. I watched the bootleg, and django does absolutely nothing to impact my life for better or worse. I don't think black people got pimped because they got paid for the movie, and black actors that otherwise wouldn't have had a job were employed, and might be considered for more rolls.

You keep ignoring what im actually saying to talk about a phrase that I used. Why won't you actually reply to what I'm saying? Is it because you know I'm right so you'd rather post smileys and call me dumb?

Edit: it's bigger than django. People do this all the time. Complain about gweneth Paltrow saying nikka, but not the people that made the songs or the suits that greenlit the song.

White people would rather us point out who said what, than to actualy fight for change, and most times we fall right into that trap

I'm not ignoring what you're saying. I pointed out the flaws in your made up argument completely.

I don't CARE about what other people said who aren't in this thread. You quoted me on some DUMB shyt.

Again ignoring my point to argue semantics. If you look back at the posts you attributed some things to me that I never said, but i responded to your overall point instead of the words you used.

Also we were talking about the entire controversy surrounding django neither of our posts were totaly directed to the other personaly.

You get caught up in the insults because you want an excuse to dismiss the points I make.

You've still been unnecessarily caping for QT and the movie though. You're a supporter of the movie whether you paid money to see it or not. You support and defend QT exploiting slavery to push his movie. You support and defend QT misrepresenting the movie just to get away with exploiting slavery to push it. Your justification for supporting and defending QT's exploitation varies from "uh uh Django ain't the only exploitative movie" to "well at least some black actors got some work" You'll say anything to defend the movie from legit truthful criticism. Take this nonsense about "at least black actors who wouldn't have had a job were employed" for an example. The only 3 black actors worth mentioning in the film were Washington, Foxx, and Jackson. All 3 of them are established actors who work steadily. What black actors are you referring to? The random slaves that had 3-4 lines combined? Which one of those actors is going to blow on the strength of being in Django? Come on man. You've earned whatever insults I've thrown at you.

I haven't gotten caught up on anything. I've tried to respond to you honestly despite all the insults.

I'm not defending QT. I'm defending the black actors in the movie. Your so busy trying to attack QT and the movie, that if anybody disagrees with you, you take as them defending the movie or QT.

Jamie is established but he doesn't really get rolls. Kerry Washington is established but she doesn't get many rolls either. Maybe the success of this movie can get them more rolls, or make other directors more confortable with giving black actors a lot of screen time. If none of that transpires at least they got paid

And ALL actors start of with small 3-4 line rolls, or rolls that don't require any talking. They need to build a resume before being considered for bigger rolls. Django could be a starting point for their careers. And again if that doesn't happen at least they got paid. Those 3-4 line actors are the ones who need the money most to feed their family, I have no problem with black families being fed.

Let's just go back to you not responding to me.

:wtf: Jamie Foxx is the 3rd Black man in history to win an Oscar for best male performance. He has two platinum albums

Kerry Washington steady gets roles, white people love her and she's the lead in a primetime drama on ABC.

both are eating well with or without Django.

Does Kerry Washington have any leading movie rolls?

When was the last time Jamie fox had a successful movie or album?

Django is the only one to demonstrate unequivocal “crossover” appeal—“crossover” being the entertainment industry’s undying euphemism for movies that draw large black and white audiences alike. That moviegoers of both races are willing to check out a white filmmaker’s profane, impolitic riff on the most sacred African-American history says something hopeful about America.

an admittedly spurious..and dishonest depiction of slavery [django] 'says something hopeful about america' because of its 'crossover appeal'--:lolbron:...this supports my idea that the majority of people would rather be entertained by the subject of slavery than learn from it...now that django has made it acceptable to 'riff on the most sacred african-american history' the subject of slavery returns to being inconsequential...
