The only person of intelligence in that film was Dr. King's character. Django was living off of anger and Dr. King giving him access to a damn horse, clothes, weapons and a means of unleashing his anger on white folk through the bounty system.

So far from reading reviews and forums from a bunch of sites on the net I see just as many white people pissed off that the movie's depiction of slavery was too brutal and it wasn't really that bad. That should tell u Tarantino did a pretty decent job depicting it . One thing's for sure he's got everyone riled up with this one. Shows why Slavery is still deservedly the most sensitive topic in this country. Take out the setting and the movie is basic as hell with run of the mill plot and some entertaining performances and dialogue.

I don't think it accurately portrayed it. Especially here in the states were slaves were prized unlike in the West Indies and South America where they were used up on the sugar cane fields until they worked to death and replenished. The Mandingo fighting to the death was also a myth

1st your argument was that harshness of American slavery was watered down in this film to not offend the mainstream audience but now you witch that up to it wasn't as brutal as displayed in the movie due to slaves being valuebale pocessions? Which one is it? Your argument that American slaves were so viewed as so important that their lives were valued more than the counterparts in the rest of the Americas sounds rac00nish and is earily similar to "house negro from another slave movie:"Good Buy Uncle Tom" explains how his master views him as valuealbe commidity and that the illtreatment of slaves was exaggerated.

Look breh...You are a naive if you really think slaves weren't worked to death in the US clike their counterparts in the Carribean or South America cause Amerikkkan save owners were more humane due to the value they placed in their slaves..If slave holding cacs so prized their slaves they wouldn't mutilated, raped or killed so many slaves whom were judged not performing up to standards or just for the pleasure during that period.
The Mandingo fighting to death to entertain/appease master was a reality that still being reancated in the streets of urban black Amerikkkan ghettos today...

It's already been posted that the people that did the dolls have done it for all qt movies and its for collectors not for toys r us

I don't like these dolls but personally I put it at the same level of stupidity and exploitation as black people going to Paris and performing a song called nikkas in Paris in front of white people, it's so obtuse
