the post and end credits are confusing
are the kree saying the whole thing was a setup by shield, that mysterio was just a test for peter or them posing as fury and his assistant?
Also i like the JJ cameo at the end, but telling his secret identity in the mcu means nothing. everyone pretty muxh knows the heroes really except spidey but shield can just deny it i guess.

And the secret id is a big deal for peter. Especially when he’s now framed for murder and mass murder
JJJ is an Alex Jones type character with a similar platform instead of being the head of the paper like back in the day.
I imagine it would be easy for Dr Strange to Men In Black society and erase that memory, or for the Skrulls to imitate Peter and dispel it, but it seems like too big a moment to not have the 3rd film work with the concept before doing either of those.
Unless Happy & Pepper move Peter & May into a Stark Tower I don't see how society knowing his identity can end without disaster, and even if that happens MJ & Ned are still sitting sucks like you mentioned. Please don't let MJ get hurt

He's known in the comics for impersonating people, Spidey in particular and doing fukked up shyt so turn the public against him while he runs off with the bag. His real name is Dmitri Smerdyakov, the same name as the agent that was driving the blacked out van.
Now that Mysterio has leaked the edited footage and exposed his identity, it would be the perfect time for an imposter to hit a couple licks as Spider-man to make him the fall guy and help bolster JJJ's Spidey is a menace narrative.
He also open's up a connection to Kraven The Hunter seeing how they are brothers, I know Sony was talking about doing a solo film so who knows where they go with that, but let's say Spiderman takes him out, his big bro gonna wanna run that fade.
Nobody confirmed it but he was too suspect for such an unimportant character, I think they played it in a way that they can decide to pay that off or not.

Even though the multiverse angle was part of the con, did anyone else pick up when Skrull Fury took Peter to meet Mysterio, that Fury said, "Your Earth" to Peter?
I still need to see it again but I'm pretty sure I heard Fury say that, and it stood out to me. The audience doesn't yet know that Fury is a dupe, and even w/ the Multiverse con, Fury & Peter are from the same Earth.

Yea his cover wasn't perfect based on that line and when he said "don't evoke her name" when Peter asked to call Captain Marvel.
