Rewatching homecoming and I just realized that Karen wasn't in it. I miss her voice in peters suit. But I understand it'd be too much like iron man with jarvis so they're gonna keep away from those similarities.

If he was a legit bully or something I wouldn't feel bad but he's just a clown with money so I felt sorry for him when he asked about his parents.

THEY REPLACED KAREN WITH EDITH...

Also i like the JJ cameo at the end, but telling his secret identity in the mcu means nothing. everyone pretty muxh knows the heroes really except spidey but shield can just deny it i guess.

Nah it means plenty.

He's way more vulnerable than any of those other characters, especially now that there are technically no more Avengers on deck. He can't be low-key like Nat or Clint, he can't go off world like Thor and Captain Marvel He ain't got long money like Tony for state of the art security for Pepper and more recently a kid and he can't just be a Nomad with no real family or friends like Banner. His family and friends are sitting ducks...and now you got Alex Jones not only exposing his identity but making him look like a criminal.

The hero we deserve :mjcry:

I imagine it would be easy for Dr Strange to Men In Black society and erase that memory, or for the Skrulls to imitate Peter and dispel it, but it seems like too big a moment to not have the 3rd film work with the concept before doing either of those.

Unless Happy & Pepper move Peter & May into a Stark Tower I don't see how society knowing his identity can end without disaster, and even if that happens MJ & Ned are still sitting sucks like you mentioned. Please don't let MJ get hurt :mjcry:

My observations, and I haven't read through the thread completely so some might be repetitive...

- Theater got hype as hell when J.K. Simmons popped up, and I for one was completely caught off guard. And they got him channeling the spirit of Alex Jones :russ:
- So happy they're keeping Talos involved, he was arguably my favorite thing about Captain Marvel. At first I thought the "Don't invoke her name!" was a failed joke, but now it makes more sense. Real interested to see how they involve the Skrulls going forward.
- This could be a complete prisoner of the moment take but Mysterio's initial illusion scene at the construction site with Peter is a top 5 all-time scene for me not just in the MCU, but comic book films period. fukking amazing. Especially the bit with Zombie Iron Man hand popping out the grave like 94 Undertaker, and then the spiders crawling out the mask and turning into Mysterio helmets :damn: I was really skeptical to see how they would adapt Mysterio in a live-action format, and kind of feared they would give him some sort of powers but goddamn did they deliver.
- Marisa Tomei :noah:
- First MCU flick without a Stan Lee cameo :mjcry:
- At times I thought the Tony Stark stuff was a bit heavy-handed, but Peter creating his suit on the jet was a dope scene.
- Teacher taking L's on top of L's :mjlol:
- Happy with the Peyton Manning noodle arm trying to throw the shield
- Also I really liked the fact that they played up Peter's intelligence more in this movie, something I feel like they hadn't done to the same extent in Homecoming. Or maybe I just have selective memory.
- Off first watch I enjoyed just as much, if not more than Homecoming. Tom Holland continues to be my favorite Spidey, Jake put in work, supporting cast all held their own as well. Might end up seeing it again :ehh:

I gotta shyt on Marvel though for their depiction of the Netherlands. They make it through Italy and Eastern Europe and London without falling into any shytty European stereotypes, but the ten seconds they spend in The Netherlands is a giant ball of the most outdated stereotypes you can possibly gather. Pretty much the only thing they got right is that everyone speaks English well. :deadmanny: @Soymuscle Mike

I thought it was great! Is Mysterio actually dead though? Why expose his identity and then and up dying? Is he part of some anti avengers cult? When jb almost vust his ass getting off the bus and everyone was laughing in the background was a cool unintentionally funny take to keep for the movie.

Did Spider-Man: Far From Home Sneak the Fantastic Four into the MCU?

Towards the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man is seen swinging around New York City for the first time in his franchise. While heading toward MJ, he lands in front of the building which was once Stark Tower before becoming Avengers Tower. Now, it is under construction and will belong to someone else after being sold in Spider-Man: Homecoming. At its base, there may have been a tease of the Fantastic Four.

Guarding the construction at Avengers Tower, a fence labeled with, "We can't wait to show you what comes next." The sentence was broken up with a "1," a "2," a "3," and a "?" where the "4" would have been. Naturally, this prompts the idea of the Fantastic 4 having purchased Avengers Tower in an effort to rename it the Baxter Building, their known HQ from Marvel Comics.

"I didn't see a sign there yet," Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told ComicBook.com when asked about who bought Avengers Tower. "I always think the speculation fuels it, whether that speculation is correct, as it sometimes is, or if that speculation is wrong, as it often is."

Prior to Spider-Man: Far From Home being released, a rumor broke out online when someone claimed that Oscorp would make its debut in the film, having purchased the tower. The rumors were false. Oscorp did not appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home, though they can't be ruled out as the owners of Avengers Tower with Norman Osborn and family possibly lurking for the third Spider-Man movie in the MCU.

"I love the confidence in which that was written," Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts said of the incorrect Oscorp rumors. "I love that because you know so much of the fun of these movies is trying to guess what's real and what's not and you know the idea of a completely fake rumor about this movie that's about illusions and deceptions, like it's really on message."

As a matter of fact, the missing "4" on the construction sign might be a reference to Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The slate of movies has not been revealed and Spider-Man: Far From Home officially concludes the first three phases of films. Or, maybe it is just a coincidence based on real construction banners. Only time will tell.
