Personally I don't mind them making MJ more down-to-earth rather than going with the glamorous supermodel thing.
I do wish her sections were more entertaining, but I don't particularly mind the character.

He didn't pull her in high school though. He was with Gwen in HS. Then hooked up with MJ in college after her and Harry broke up. He and MJ had chemistry and a friendship but she also looked at Pete as dikk in a box, as she did Harry. Cause she wanted to be single but just so happened to fall in love with Peter after all that time. Not that far fetched at all. Don't confuse Tobey's depiction of Peter as who he really was. Peter wasn't some Dungeons and Dragons type lame scared of girls. He was a regular guy who liked science. Pete always had a bytch and often had several.
