I Assumed it was like how Harry Potter, twilight, hunger games etc. Split their 1 movie into 2, so part 1 being a juicy cliffhanger

Part 2 being called beyond threw me for a loop

But it's not THEIR FAULT. They let it be known it was a two-parter from the very start. You cannot be upset because you wasn't tracking. Or hold it against them for having it end on a cliffhanger. It was still an end of a chapter because it bookends Gwen narration of what happened.
