Small question.
If Miles universe has broken canon because he got bit by a spider and Parker died, why didn't his world get destroyed like that world Miguel had with kids?

That's why I say Miguel is an unreliable narrator. What Miguel did was TOTALLY different from how Miles became Spider-Man. Miguel broke canon by pretending to be his doppelganger. His canon was supposed to be DEAD. He intentionally changed the aftermath of that original Miguel's life.

Everything that happened to Mile's original Peter Parker Spider-Man was going to happen regardless because Miles never intervened in the fight whatsoever. Miles was DESTINED to become Spider-Man. He is canon.

Only problem is if they want to change a single line in the script they can’t. But it’s so close to release date I don’t think that will be a problem

Yea, I think all they going to be focusing on is finishing touches on postproduction. Nothing narratively.

Great movie. But some Black American erasure was present.

In the comics and the first movie it’s canon that his father is officer Davis.

Jefferson Davis is his black American fathers name.

In this movie he is officer morales? I didn’t understand that.

They explained this behind the scenes. It's because the NAME Jefferson Davis is a confederate historical name. In fact, he was the PRESIDENT of the Confederate States of America. So they changed the name for obvious reasons.

Say what you want went this came on, chills.

The music, the drip, colors :blessed: :wow:

Bro that final minute of the film is fukkin bonkers. At least March isn’t a full year from now but that’s still too long to wait.

I caught a Dolby screening on Friday afternoon, and the audience had no problem clapping for a classic

I don’t think so. Jefferson-42 died even though Miles never became Spidey. I think it is still his canon event, but without the spider bite he’s Prowler.

I think the point Miguel is making is that our Miles was just supposed to be a kid. His father is only in danger of dying as a canon event.

They keep making the point theree only one Spider-Man. The original blonde Peter was it.

No. Miguel is simply wrong. He is no different from Kingpin from the first movie. Miguel was traumatized because he could never get back his family again that he purposely broke canon and paid the consequences. He cannot no matter what he believes, predict and/or regulate what is or what isn't canon. The events that happened in Into the Spider-verse in terms of Miles' origin happened just because Miles just happened to be there. The Earth-42 spider was ALREADY THERE, therefore Miles getting bit was destined to happen. Not only that the death of Peter had zero to do with Miles because Miles never intervened which means it was GOING TO HAPPEN REGARDLESS the same way the death of MIGUEL that 2099's Miguel attempted to replace was SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN and 2099's Miguel broke that.

Man really talking about their kids being mad because they have to wait 9 months for a sequel. :dahell:

Dog - we waited 4 fukking years between Back To The Future 1 and 2. Five years between Ghostbusters 1 and 2. Just because that's how shyt was then. :unimpressed:

It's not like there wasn't a three year pandemic between this film and the first one either :mindblown:

Instant gratification is a motherfukker :wow:

Where are the other Miles though? Because the only other multiverse Miles is……..
