Finally saw this over the weekend. It was OK.

My issues:
The movie had a shyt ton of plot holes.
They really dropped the ball with Waltz as Blofeld. He was not nearly as grand as Ernst Stavros Blofeld is supposed to be.
They also wasted Monica Belluci; you get her as a Bond Girl finally and the best they can do is a grief stricken booty call?
The romantic storyline with Bond and Madeline Swann was unconvincing and poorly depicted.
Moneypenny was not used properly.
Still not a fan of Ralph Fiennes as M.
That Sam Smith song was ass cheeks.
when has blofeld ever been impressive though? he was an ok villain in on her majesties secret service, cheesy in you only live twice, forgettable in diamonds are forever and a complete joke in for your eyes only. i'd say waltz is the best blofeld since telly savalas.

I agree with that but I also believe they had the chance to make him impressive. Truthfully, Blofeld was best when he was just a voice and a hand. They took the menace off of him in you only live twice, tried to put it back in on her majesty's secret service, and then made him a batman 66 villain in diamonds are forever

Just saw it.
This was painful and at times, a chore to watch despite its beautiful cinematography. The story was bland, Waltz was wasted IMO. You just don't land someone of his aptitude and not give him a substantial enough script to show his range; he could've made Blofeld quite memorable in the franchise. I was quickly reminded of how Marvel didn't take advantage of Eccleston's talents when they cast him as Malekith in Thor:TDW. Blown opportunity there.
I felt the weak story was masked by the great stunts and it seems like the producers thought the viewing public would be too stupid not to recognize that glaring flaw.
The Bond/ Madeleine pairing felt forced and unconvincing to me...
And I'm sure it's been brought up here already but Craig's fatigue in such a demanding role was showing throughout in the film.
At this point, I don't think I could rank this installment particularly high on the rung. Maybe my resolve will soften somewhat with repeat viewings via tv but it's safe to say SPECTRE isn't going to crack my Top 10 anytime soon.:francis:

However, I'm liking this new Q even though I remain Team Llewellyn.

Not to get off subject but he could've been better utilized if they'd have cut down on the Jane and Darcy bullshyt. Their services weren't needed.:camby:
"Abortion" is a good word for those though.

I just didn't like it.

Waltz was underused, the romance between Swann was awful, very cliched and utterly ridiculous at times. The constant call backs to the past movies were overdone and unnecessary. Craig looked noticeably OLD. I'm kinda wishing this is his last time as Bond. Script was bad at times too, did anyone else find the Bond/Moneypenny scene weird? He had an "Aha" moment in the middle of the scene :dahell: It so un-Bond like it was noticeable.

Just saw this…

Mexico was the best part
The main girl can't act (People behind me were literally laughing at her scenes)
Confusing ass plot
Felt like they were imitating a MI movie
Hans was a average ass villain (I compare it to TDKR, Bautista was Bane and Hans was Talia)
Daniel is getting too old and needs to retire Bond
Stupid cliches ex. Villain supposedly dies in an explosion but shows up at the end with someone the hero loves being held hostage but the hero decides not to kill the villain for xyz.
The movie was way too predictable

Casino Royale > Skyfall > Spectre > Quantum Solace imo
:whoa: Bane at least spit isms, Batista's name wasn't even uttered in the movie.

Rogue Nation did everything this movie did so much better it's ridiculous :wow:

That Rome "car chase" has to be the WOAT, it was like a street race out of a Fast and Furious flick. How can you have a car chase with zero gunfire? :what:.

The first hour was decent but everything after was completely boring and a chore to get through. Romance was forced and felt like it was in there just to wrap up Craig's series before his Bond is recast. Same regarding Blofield, it should have just been one or the other instead of both.

Time to recast Bond, bring back Campbell and start this all over again.

5/10 and further confirms that Bourne and MI are >>>>> Bond this era.
