the REAL story is.... they didn't have the rights to the SPECTRE name and likeness... how or why... i do not know.... but they had to make up some bullshyt.. even after casino royale, they were asking people to make up the meaning of QUANTUM... so it'd stand for something.. . but it was basically SPECTRE with a new name


now apparently they bought the rights back or whatever... so they like fukk it.. lets just use it... i'm sure it'll be explained away real real quick and we'll just move on with SPECTRE now

They won the rights back from Kevin McClory. I ain't mad at them for making the connection

He's going down as classic breh. Especially because in truth he won:

M died
MI6 was destroyed albeit temporarily
All those agents died in the field
And he sent the intelligence community into disarray.

The only thing he didn't do was kill Bond but he succeeded in damn near everything else and he killed the screen time he had

Well he didn't but one of his men got the wounding shot so either way he got what he wanted. His main goal was to destroy MI6 and get rid of M.
