This and only this. Because the best looking Bond was also one of the most boring.

Wait what

Yeah brehs look at the Bond documentary "Everything or Nothing" which came out in 2012 or any of the press leading up to Casino Royale and both producers mention how 9/11 played a huge part in their decision making. They said that they didn't feel right having this cavalier attitude about terrorism and world domination anymore after having something so devastating hit so close to home (one of the producers is American and lives here. I assume his sister does too) and the world after 9/11 was in a much more serious place and the films needed to reflect that because the films have always reflected the times that they're in. So they called Pierce and said they don't know how to continue on because they could continue to go the route they were with him and that tone or they could go for something a bit more serious and more in-line with where the world was and where the audience was and obviously they chose the latter

No. Generic chase scene at the beginning that quickly goes completely over-the-top, possibly to make up for the fact that nothing happens in the movie until he fights that Chinese henchman in the Komodo Dragon pit with all-time terrible CGI. Anyway, Bond 'dies', immediately returns. No emotional build-up for the Bond girl so no emotion when she's killed off, in fact, I think even Bond barely reacts to killing her. Ralph Fiennes' presence death flagging all over Judi Dench. The London MI-6 attack in which Joker Bardem gets that TDK kayfabe protection where everything fits into his plan perfectly, even things he didn't plan for or had to improvise. Ending is Home Alone in Scotland.

It's pretty to look at, but unfortunately it also features all the other Sam Mendes trademarks of being dry, long-winded and boring.
