Back in the day he said he wanted the movie to be like Se7en except with Sam and Twitch? (iirc) as Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman and Spawn as John Doe type mysterious.

I don't give a damn about his approach, dude gets my blessing based on the strength of the comic, the movie, the cartoon, & nostalgia.
