Yeah, they ask for that shyt regardless if you file your FAFSA independent. It's the most detailed form I've ever filled out.

I can relate...grew up in Detroit (a highly segregated city at the time where you'd rarely see white people) and then went to college at a state university. Completely different world.

Also had a shytty first semester, but that was mostly due to laziness and poor work ethic. I was INCREDIBLY lazy in high school and only got average grades (2.9 GPA when I graduated) and basically got into college because of really high test scores. Kinda took me a while to learn that I'd actually have to study in college.

I actually did something similar my freshman year at undergrad.

Got like a 2.3 first semester, needed a 3.0 to keep scholarship....ate good off of liberal arts classes the next semester (Took TWO film classes brehs....:snoop:) and got like a 3.8. I still remember getting an email from my (black) academic advisor congratulating me on keeping my scholly and staying in school, she was like "I didn't think you'd make it".... I fear that many do not.

I yoyo'd like that a lot during undergrad, but always kept my scholarship, and ended up getting the (pretty worthless) BA....:manny: Learning that I could actually withdraw from classes was a big help....:lolbron:

I hope this young man does better.

why is that?

is the boost significant for us blacks in ivy leagues?

been thinking about applying to columbia or upenn law
but my low confidence in my abilities and not thinking im good enough gets to my head (even though i am):snoop:

My nikka, do it! Apply to the schools and see what happens. That acceptance letter will be a huge confident booster and if u dont get in, well at least u tried :yeshrug:

On this article, Christian hall is the worst building to live in if u need to boost ur grade. Too much other shyt going on for people to prioritize studies.

I go to CAL and more black people need to apply here. The 3% is fukked up and highly noticeable on campus. Hell, I see more hispanics on campus then black people and I'm :snoop: every time I walk through sproul.

All you in high school in cali, what are your majors?

Doesn't refute what he said.

it supports my POV that AA is a waste of time and political capital and that ward connely did the right thing

there is only one solution to getting more blacks into Berkeley, black high school students need to study harder, any other "solution" is bullshyt

For a student body, a 2% difference is huge

The black frats are not that prominent here and they definitely don't put much effort into helping with post-college jobs.

Asians know exactly what they doing :to:
