She said the academics were straight but the social life was kind of bland. Almost like everyone knows everyone. She wanted to get out of the area...

I've also heard too many complaints about it being a an isolated commuter school from. The IE in general doesnt have as much going for it compared to LA. I always come across thirsty chicks in the club attending from the IE schools.

yeah that is all true, UCR is a good jump off (academically speaking) school especially if you are doing anything post bachelors cuz its still in the UC system, if you dont get into ucla or berkely ucr is like a no brainer imo, but yeah riverside itself suks

Upper levels courses generally are more lenient grade-wise and you already know the basics. The intro classes are really to weed people out of majors, etc.

I don't where you're getting the "Berkeley isn't all that" from though. It's elite, but with any elite public institution of that size, you can make it easy if you want to by cherry-picking. Cal's legit.

Just looked at my FB and I know a shytload of people who go to / went to UCB.

I went to elementary school with most of them. This shyt crazy. 10+ years from now, should be interesting....

usc has some social advantages, just cuz so many rich people go there and their location, but if you are doing anything beyond bachelors the UC degree is worth more
