Its almost as if you watch and post videos like this because you yourself can't comprehend these issues beyond the surface and assume that everyone else can't either. No one here is discussing this from a perspective of western ukrainians breaking free from an oppressive regime and attempting to instill democratic principles in their country. We are all aware this situation is unfolding because both sides are maneuvering for influence. This annoying fakkit in the video trying to make it seem like its some nefarious plot by the west when in reality, we all know this is how geopolitics have always worked. The government saying another thing to pander to the idiots in the country through the media because they can't understand what is going on isn't proof of there being a secret push to go to war with Russia to further "bankrupt the country."

God damn, some of the posters in this forum are completely useless:huhldup:

I have to laugh at these dunces that are saying Putin is playing chess out here like this scenario was in his master plan. As if somehow the trading bloc he was attempting to set up to compete with the EU through a continuing relationship with Ukraine falling apart benefits the Russians. All they have done is isolate themselves further from the Europeans, the Americans and possibly even the Chinese. They even had to resort to military action to secure their own Black Sea Fleet, which calls into question their ability to maintain influence in the future. To top it off, by pissing off the pro-Western Ukrainian population, they are basically inviting the Americans and the EU to further expand their influence and to establish a military presence that much closer to Russia's borders. The entire situation has been a nation embarrassment for Russia and anyone, politician or otherwise, saying that the US looks weak by not intervening directly clearly has an agenda.

Patriot Missile Batteries are going bak to Turkey :banderas:

I'm not really sure what the play is here. They got Crimea, now what?
The US isn't gonna do shyt, Russia knows that. EU probably won't do shyt either and Russia knows that. What happens next? They just take their ball and go home.

Cold War.

Since Russia clearly expresses these motives, the rest of Eastern Europe stays on full alert for potential fukkery.

G-7 Leaders Statement
We, the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States and the President of the European Council and President of the European Commission, join together today to condemn the Russian Federation’s clear violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, in contravention of Russia’s obligations under the UN Charter and its 1997 basing agreement with Ukraine. We call on Russia to address any ongoing security or human rights concerns that it has with Ukraine through direct negotiations, and/or via international observation or mediation under the auspices of the UN or the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. We stand ready to assist with these efforts.

We also call on all parties concerned to behave with the greatest extent of self-restraint and responsibility, and to decrease the tensions.

We note that Russia’s actions in Ukraine also contravene the principles and values on which the G-7 and the G-8 operate. As such, we have decided for the time being to suspend our participation in activities associated with the preparation of the scheduled G-8 Summit in Sochi in June, until the environment comes back where the G-8 is able to have meaningful discussion.

We are united in supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its right to choose its own future. We commit ourselves to support Ukraine in its efforts to restore unity, stability, and political and economic health to the country. To that end, we will support Ukraine’s work with the International Monetary Fund to negotiate a new program and to implement needed reforms. IMF support will be critical in unlocking additional assistance from the World Bank, other international financial institutions, the EU, and bilateral sources.
