I seriously doubt It. All these purchases they’re making is to boost Gamepass and make it the only place to play these games on console, giving people options especially on PlayStation doesn’t make sense.

It makes perfect sense. Make money digitally and physical on the competing platform or have people subscribe to gamepass and play it free of charge. Either way it's money for xbox.

Why wouldn't they it's a Win Win for Microsoft they can make digital and Physical sales on Playstation and bring in more Gamepass subscribers. Microsoft ain't that stupid to make it exclusive to only Xbox consoles. Especially if it's a physical and digital seller on Sony Consoles.

They showed you with Bethesda games especially with the rpg juggernaut Elder Scrolls that should be the only indicator you need to see how M$ is going to be doing things. That game and Fallout alone print money

Exactly also when they bought Minecraft they didn't drop it from none of the platforms and they all the platforms got the DLC. Call of duty is a cash cow and one of the biggest ip's in gaming microsoft wouldn't be that dumb especially with game pass digital sales and physical sales will be even lower on xbox consoles. Best believe they droppin Call of duty and future versions on Sony consoles to get some of that back. Microsoft is getting out the physical and digital game and are getting into the service game now. Microsoft don't care about fanboy shyt. They care about money.

I'll believe it when I see it. Microsoft has dropped games on other platforms. They just put banjo on switch. They have to get physical and digital sales from somewhere.

They said that about starfield specifically, a new IP.

I think people need to let the idea of “xbox” go because by the end of the generation thats gonna be a severe afterthought for microsoft.

I’m not holding out for anything… i was never into Skyrim like that. Witcher 3 pretty much came and crushed buildings… I couldn’t look at bethesda games the same after that.

I just don’t think the priority for microsoft is to sell boxed consoles. You don’t spend 100b on acquisitions just to sell consoles

Wishful thinking, whole purpose of this purchase is gamepass which needs exclusive content. Unlike netflix they want to kill competition in that space, they want to be the defacto sub where netflix failed and allowed content providers to jump in easily.

People forget about how Microsoft use to get down, the original anti trust law line stepper. They were known for throwing bags to eliminate competition in the 90s, theres a reason people were skeptical of Microsoft entering the gaming industry in the early 2000s.

People really think Microsoft is here to play nice.
