I just don't get how you (not you specifically) can be excited about something when that "something" is something Sony should already be offering free of additional charges.

You'd be surprised at the amount of people who don't think like this. I think we get in a bubble and think the opinions expressed online especially on forums here are indicative of the general public. It's why something like the NES Classic can sell and even outsell PS4 or Xbox 1 for some time even though logically you'd think NES games are already available to play on official platforms or elsewhere and thus will prevent people from buying this.

An XBOX version makes the least sense of all because of how well they've implemented backwards compatibility.
