Sony said up front this isn’t about “exclusives”Really feel like these recent grabs are gonna destroy gaming. People are gonna have to pick sides even more because of "exclusives." I hope some deals can be worked so games under the MS/Sony banner can still be played on the other's platform.
None of these acquisitions are going to do this. None of the multiplats involved are going to exclusive only with any of these deals because all of the multiplats involved, print money.Really feel like these recent grabs are gonna destroy gaming. People are gonna have to pick sides even more because of "exclusives." I hope some deals can be worked so games under the MS/Sony banner can still be played on the other's platform.
Bethesda have maybe 2 real earners , Scrolls & Fallout.
Destiny has a 1m+ daily active users across all platform plus one of the best teams in FPS next to Respawn. The synergies with Sony’s other studios and general long term goals wouldn’t be under stated either
don’t nobody play bungie games like that
yeah they were....Doom, Deathloop, Wolfenstein, Dishonored, Evil Within weren't earners?
Now post those weekly Crucible "engagement" numbers when Trials isn't up (or when it is up but the weapon/map is trash).
Ain't nobody or caring about Destiny like they do Fortnite, Apex, Halo, COD, etc. I say that as someone who's played the game since 2015. "Competitive" FPS games have been an industry centralizing juggernaut since 2004. A force Sony has tried and FAILED to capitalize on multiple times with the likes of Killzone and Resistance... both of which are dead in the water as IPs and have NEVER come close to making any waves in that market the way Microsoft's flagship IP did back in the day and how BR games do now. Sony is hedging their (exorbitant) bets that "Matter" or whatever it'll actually be called will have the same impact now that Halo did back in the day (and is slowly starting to once again) and that they'll finally be able to have a LASTING piece of the lucrative console FPS pie. Cause shytty ass Destiny crucible sure as shyt never will.
not sure why xbots are heated. this deal benefits everyone, sony, microsoft, and bungie.
its the right and most noble move sony has made. Power to the Players
I don't like it, but Sony was money hatting franchises from going to other platforms for generations.Honestly don’t like all these big gaming companies getting bought up
You posted all of that for what though? No one has ever claimed Destiny to be a competitive fps though. It's a looter shooter, still after 5 years, the #1 looter shooter. Now post those weekly Crucible "engagement" numbers when Trials isn't up (or when it is up but the weapon/map is trash).
