All the unlockables like Debug mode, Sonic's extra abilities and "& Knuckles" mode are all tied to a no save file. So if I want to see the Knuckles & Knuckles ending, I have to do it in one sitting. The fukk is that?
An entire alternate ending has to be completed in one sitting. Why? That in one sitting limitation died with Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Hopefully, they patch that cause it's stupid.

For the longest time I thought the insta-shield was just to get a little more range on attacks

I didn't know it was to deflect attacks as well

The bonus stages are not that hard once you get used to them. Jumping corners saves some time and helps control sonic when he is going too fast on turns

Anybody find the full theme that plays when the Hard Boiled Heavies first appear on Angel Island? It's not their boss theme, that's different. It's the one that plays during the first cut scene and the during the cut scene that plays after you finish Green Hill Zone

I have a headache that just won't budge. Like I said I'm not mad I'm basically having as much fun as I can with an excruciating headache.

As a person who rebought sonic 1 and 2 on virtual console this purchase is well worth it and relevant.

Make sure to keep the UFO in your sights. Try to get every ring you can. You don't need to get the blue spheres right away. Just pick them up as you go but don't go out of your way to collect them. Rings are more important.
