The Game is the shit, what type of kool aid are you drinking?

Now if you're talking about those ridiculous Tyler Perry shows then yeah i agree with you. I cringe every time i watch one because i imagine what other races are thinking when they watch them :russ:.

This makes very little sense to me becuz I'm in no position to do anything about it. I'm simply s viewer with an opinion abs I have two choices.
1. I could either like it and talk about how much I enjoy these shows.

2. I can not like it and be critical.

It's not a bad thing
It makes very little sense to you cause you don't want it to so you can complain all day. It's a lot easier to do that then do something. I never said people can't complain but it's a limit to it imo just like everything. When it gets too much personally I'm like do something or shut the fukk up about it and I feel that way about everything. That's for anybody myself included when I fall into doing that myself. Sometimes I have to give myself the :comeon: nikka either do something or shut up to myself so you know I'm going to give to others

this is so crazy because i think about this all the time! the ep of the wayans bros where marlon and shawn get on first class because they think marlon's a basketball star, shawn called a white dude a mayonnaise eating bologna smelling something

and im just like, could blacks say this on a tv show about a white person and everything be cool?

90s is my favorite fukking period in terms of tv, music, movies, fashion and status. so basically its just my favoite decade. black people were really successful in the entertainment industry, and thats it. do people even question how that is? now we hardly get a main black cast as a widely released movie once a year. now a tv show with a main black cast is hardly watched cuz the shyt aint funny or entertaining. they fukk the shows up then cancel them

alls im saying is, show living single on tv or release all the seasons on dvd

I actually love House of Payne :yeshrug:

Honestly, can't see why people say it's so bad. It has funny moments, deals with serious issues at times and has likable characters.

Japan, but from the 989
You can thank Bob Johnson and Tyler Perry for what has happened to Black TV. They are mainly minstrel show-lite today.

Get a little comedy, mix in some religion, "hip-hop" and have a hit "black" show. It's the only real shows that are allowed in Amerikkka today.

It makes little sense to me becuz your thinking is that it takes a toll on my everyday life. I was just thinking about how bad shows stew compared to shows of yesteryear. That's all.

First, think about the bad taste a lot of women in general have in regard to TV shows and movies :ohlawd:. Now limit that demographic down to just black women.............there you you have it. A majority of black shows cater to black women, and they are f*ckin' terrible. It's the same when at the other end of the spectrum with white ladies; They just have raggedy, corny tastes :scusthov:....................in my opinion :troll:

Don't tase me, brehettes :lupe:

Well the shows in the original post do have a big following of Black women so you have a point.

Kinda surprised nobody mentioned The Wire when talking about great black TV shows, or is it people don't consider it a black TV show?

I think The Cosby Show and Sanford and Son are the only GOAT black sitcoms in television history that we have. Everything else is either great(Everybody Hates Chris), tolerable(My Wife and Kids), or absolutely terrible(Tyler Perry sitcoms)

If the Wayans Bros came out today, would we view it in the same light as we did back then?

IT's funny you say Girlfriends. The Game is a spinoff of Girlfriends, and back when UPN/WB/CW was doing it it was a cool show. Now that BET tookover that shyt really is trinassh.

I really dont know what happened to black tv. We went from Fresh Prince, Cosby/different world, Martin, Steve Harvey Show, bernie mac, say what you will but even y wife and kids was cool. They need to bring the old UPN, WB programmers back. This cable shyt isnt our wave.

black culture been trash since the rock star clothing craze taken over. We failed to adapt into the 21st century and it seems, in the younger generations, that black culture and the mainstream (white) culture has merged together into this wack ass stale shyt.
