I wasn’t perfect but i busted my ass last year. I did a lot of good work and worked on the most deals compared to the rest of my team

I shouldn’t be penalized to the bottom tier just cause of some small errors in less important aspects of the job

also accomplished a lot of the goals i set during the year but i guess it’s all for show
so do less and be perfect in the small shyt. seems that's how they're evaluating you. play the game don't overwork yourself.

Same shıt on my end and my CDT manager is a black woman that kisses ass and is a huge cọon. She doesn't know my role nor how much work I put in but gives me a poor performance review plus I have weekly one on one's where she's condescending af. I've been applying to 50 to 100 jobs a week. May not even give a 2 weeks notice when I quit.

I'm also the only black male at my job. I work around mostly diverse non black women.
fukk a few of them for the coli before you quit. :russ:

I like seeing threads like this because i know im not crazy when i see lil subtle racist shyt at work. Sucks to know that the grass aint greener on the other side and so many brehs deal with it. My homies who have their own business pretend like they i just workers just so they can get business

This is a real thing. Easiest way to lower headcount is to put people on improvement plans or give them a negative review. The directive can come from the top to basically look for reasons to do so.

In the past it was easier to just cut people based off locations but typically when that happens you aren’t able to replace that role with someone at a lower salary. It’s a treacherous game.

Is it just me?

I really got fukked over on my performance review this year and it will probably cost me about 30k after tax due to being given a lower bonus.

As a black person I always knew id never fit in with these white/asian folks and that they will always look for the simplest reason to fukk you over or cut you loose. But i am seeing it now more than ever.

The thing is it isnt just me. It seems like a lot of black ppl i know are struggling big time lately with being respected or rewarded at work across different fields

Overall, I feel my career/career field is doing fine.
I want to move up or out/to another company so I'm currently skilling up.

I've got a good team and I make a good salary but I'm picking up a part time
gig because I want to accelerate my investing while doing my masters.

Don't know how I'm gonna juggle all of that shyt though.

Bruh me too. It's like they looked for shıt to complain about, any little error which was far and few then put me on a reset plan. Meanwhile, people around me fụcking up on big shıt and it gets overlooked.

the corporate world isn't trying to pay anyone regardless...if they could pay you less to do the same job, they would. With the job market not being amazing, there's no incentive to give great bonuses, because it's not like you'll leave.

I think I'm over qualified for a lot of jobs. I keep applying for regular lower analyst positions to keep my head down but keep being referred to senior and project management positions which are extremely stressful and requires me to be too much in the spotlight.

I think I'm just gonna do contract jobs to stay afloat.
