you can get kicked out of the angels stadium for saying a player sucks. baseball stadiums are too uptight nowadays

It's sad what Baseball has become in NY. From a Mets fan perspective, Citi field while not as bad as NYS, it's the same crowd there for the most part, when people actually show up. You have people sitting down and clapping when someone hits a HR, giving dirty looks when people actually stand up and cheer. Half the time you don't know if you're at a circus or a Baseball game with all the BS going on during the game. The atmosphere at Shea trumps whatever Citi Field brings to the table. But the owners of the NY teams don't want us there. It's sad our children won't be able to experience live sports like we did.

I dont know what it is anymore. I guess you could point to the younger generation moving away from baseball. The buzz/ interest isnt nearly what it used to be.

People are more interested in their fantasy lineups than a Yankee playoff game. You walk into any bar in Manhattan yesterday during football and the Yankees are lucky to be on a corner tv in the back. Hell a Jets Texans game did better tv numbers than a Yankee playoff game. 15 years ago that would have never happened.

And of course the empty seats at the Stadium. The Yankees brass has done nothing but turn people off from going into that mausoleum they call a stadium

I guess I just didnt know my surroundings. The place was empty and we had moved down so we had great seats. The old STadium you got to yell whatever you wanted towards the field. Now, one a$$hole comment and you get the boot.

The biggest thing is the players are lifeless , and barely won the Alds series and and we saw the same problems the team had all season cropping up . This isn't a particularly easy team to cheer for .
Cano turning into the face of the team is going to make this even more obvious

how can you bring up rookies or bring in free agents and they see our best player playing like he dont give a shyt what will they then do ? Bust it out the box or leisurely stroll

I know were but I miss it when the Yankees signed a new player and they would interview them after opening day and they would be amazed by the crowd I use to enjoy that. I use to go to opening day every year I felt it was my duty to be there to get hyped I took pride in that shyt. When I use to go pumping out guys who struck out yelling at the top of my lungs jumping up and down like a maniac for a homerun people around you would applaud you now you get stares like theres something wrong with you.

Yeah its called expensive seats bad economy and watching games at home is a better experience then watching live.. fukk i wanna pay tons of money for a seat spend 200 dollars on drinks and food when i got a beutiful flat screen to watch the game
