QUEENS NY
I dont know what it is anymore. I guess you could point to the younger generation moving away from baseball. The buzz/ interest isnt nearly what it used to be.

People are more interested in their fantasy lineups than a Yankee playoff game. You walk into any bar in Manhattan yesterday during football and the Yankees are lucky to be on a corner tv in the back. Hell a Jets Texans game did better tv numbers than a Yankee playoff game. 15 years ago that would have never happened.

And of course the empty seats at the Stadium. The Yankees brass has done nothing but turn people off from going into that mausoleum they call a stadium

I think a lot of people don't realize how disliked the owners of the Mets and Yanks are and how those feelings are turning off the die hards from going to games and just losing interest in general. Myself and a lot of of other Mets fans refuse to buy tickets because we're sick of being treated like idiots. It's not even the poor play it's how arrogant and insulting the front office is towards the die hards. And evidently it seems Yankee fans feel the same out towards the Yanks front office. You have a die hard like Reb talking about bring his kids to a Mets game because he is that disgusted with what the Yanks have become and who they cater to now. BTW Reb don't do that to your son. Take him to a Cyclones, LI Ducks, a 50 and over softball game, just don't take him to a Mets game, if you love him you won't do that to him lol. Eventually the die hards slowly don't care as much. You have a new generation of kids who parents either don't take him because they aren't as passionate as they used to be or they just can't afford it and you get a generation of kids that don't care about Baseball as much as the previous did.

Hes not much of a baseball fan hes a football cat

football is my #1 but I watched probably 90% of the Yankees games this year.

I just didnt post much about them because I knew since April the season was coming down to them being able to hit in October. Its frustrating that the same problems are occuring again.

Yeah the Wilpons arent much better.

In their case though, there's really nothing they can do other than sell...which I hope they do.

I see Levine and Trosts faces I want to punch my tv. They couldnt care less about the fans.

Yes when its not playoff seats for hundreds of dollars

Yankee fans hate the new ballpark its too big and they priced out the hardcores

I got tix on stubhub for Saturdays game for 40 bucks...

the amenities are overpriced obviously...but you can get in for a fairly low cost.

The new stadium just doesnt appeal to people...the atmosphere sucks.

Yankees drew 3 and a half million people still calm down

The interest in the STADIUM isnt there the interst in the team still is

:whoa:Are you a yankee fan ? This team is the most unlikablr team we ever had in recent years . The fan favorites mo, matsui , Damon cervelli Jesus etc aren't there , no one likes girardi hes a prickly smug guy unlike Torre who controlled the media and made you feel confident , no big free agents no clutch wins really . :ld:
And I went to 3 games this year and each time I sit in the bleachers but these times the casual fans were there getting up all game pissing me off

It would have been impossible to have this happen. People like myself are too in love with the old stadium. The new Stadium caters to the 200 and lower level people, especially the second level. The old stadium used to have the grandstands on top of them, defeating the purpose of sitting in the middle unless you had a suite. Now that's gone at the expense of the grandstand people.

It's about the experience, but just not for the ones who don't have money.

I guess you're better off being a fan of one of the worst-run organizations in American sports, the Miami Marlins?

only difference between our teams is your speant a 100 million more and play a week longer
