I don't think Jimbo quit on them. That's why he's still holding on to this mirage. He wanted to finish the season out with his team. The call in show was a necessary evil. Had he not done it, people would be upset. But to stay consistent with his message of "I'm FSU coach today", he went about it as business as usual. If they didn't screen those calls last night and loft softballs, it would have been a very unproductive show with Jimbo trying to spin outta the same question asked 50 different ways.
I think he's a stubborn dikk head. He should have been said he's taking the job but will coach their last game. Plenty coaches have done that. Why can't he? Because he is a narriccistic dikk head.
So glad he is gone. Look at what we would be stuck with.

James Wilder, Travis Johnson, Jacobbi McDaniel.... All these former players want Jimbo to stay and its crazy to see how many of these guys are blaming fans. Like they really think we are running this guy outta town :why:

Fisher just said and I'm paraphrasing a bit. He plans on coaching this saturday and that no decision has been made now but will be made at the end of the season :pachaha:

Guys such a bytch he's really shown his ass this season at this point I don't see how anyone can even want him back. I'd rather Trickett return and coach OL next season over Jimbo returning as HC he's done here.

Sumlin is like a 5th or 6th option rather he go out to the PAC 12 maybe replace Taggert?
I'm speaking on terms that we don't get Taggart. I wouldn't mind getting Sumlin. I don't want Fuente. I know it's crazy, but he seems like fool's gold. It's nice that VT has a better record and all, but they not winning no big games. We already got that with Jimbo.

Well, the Board of Regents don't meet until this afternoon. What's the point of saying he's leaving if the numbers offered to him don't come back approved? He got caught out there because A&M was acting thirsty.....not him. You've heard nothing coming outta the FSU side about this. Cats all on the radio in Houston saying it's a done deal, leaking the contract terms, even leaking the topic of discussion in their Board of Regents meeting.....everything to make this situation hard on FSU/Jimbo has come from their side. If they weren't so damn antsy, Jimbo could've coached this last game with his team, and then addressed his future afterwards. But too much smoke coming from the Aggies got people thinking Jimbo is the one stalling the inevitable, when all he's doing is "finishing the play" with his kids. No harm in that at all.

Now him being narcissistic is true.....but his intentions on this one was good. He's left FSU in a much better place and even this go round he wasn't trying to fatten his pockets. This last scrum was over facilities. Jimbo's a stubborn bumpkin as a coach, but seeing how these former players, and current ones, are riding for him, I can assume personally he's a good dude to them. And that's all that really matters on a human level.

You think Jimbo is a bad CEO and is only as good as the talent around him? Or do you think that he has been hamstrung by the ineffectiveness of his DC and other position coaches?
