You think Jimbo is a bad CEO and is only as good as the talent around him? Or do you think that he has been hamstrung by the ineffectiveness of his DC and other position coaches?

In all honesty....the talent has been succeeding in spite of Jimbo quite a bit during his tenure.

If Jimbo had an stud OC and DC he would do extremely well. His play calling is horrible as a HC because it's just too much shyt going on to call plays and coach the team. The talents like Winston and Cook masked alot of his fukk ups but you can't expect to get players like that consistently. But great talent is there and he doesn't know how to tap into it. The weak DC just makes it worse. You can't mask his shytty play calling because they are giving up points and not turning the ball over like the past.

The same will happen at TAMU if he doesn't get an OC and DC. He could be a great coach, but he is his own worse enemy. I wouldn't want a coach that doesn't know how to adjust.

aye bruh Florida State IS the winningest program in the country since 1980.. we ain't really got time for peasants

anyway, what if the school allows Jimbo to coach the final game. But the day before they take back all his Fsu gear and hand him a plain white tee with a john deer hat

Well, the Board of Regents don't meet until this afternoon. What's the point of saying he's leaving if the numbers offered to him don't come back approved? He got caught out there because A&M was acting thirsty.....not him. You've heard nothing coming outta the FSU side about this. Cats all on the radio in Houston saying it's a done deal, leaking the contract terms, even leaking the topic of discussion in their Board of Regents meeting.....everything to make this situation hard on FSU/Jimbo has come from their side. If they weren't so damn antsy, Jimbo could've coached this last game with his team, and then addressed his future afterwards. But too much smoke coming from the Aggies got people thinking Jimbo is the one stalling the inevitable, when all he's doing is "finishing the play" with his kids. No harm in that at all.

Now him being narcissistic is true.....but his intentions on this one was good. He's left FSU in a much better place and even this go round he wasn't trying to fatten his pockets. This last scrum was over facilities. Jimbo's a stubborn bumpkin as a coach, but seeing how these former players, and current ones, are riding for him, I can assume personally he's a good dude to them. And that's all that really matters on a human level.

I thought it was a done deal that's why . But Jimbo isn't good for FSU. Every year it's the same shyt. You don't see this with other schools. He wants all this shyt, but doesn't want to make adjustments to the staff that are long overdue. He puts up mediocre seasons with great talent. I'm happy he is leaving. He has tunnel vision. We need a coach that can see in all directions.

shyt I'm antsy and thirsty just like TAMU is except the other way around. I mean we get someone like Taggart who can come in and really get the most out of our players is some exciting shyt right there. He knows how to adjust. Something that is truly imperative when you are a HC. I'm calling playoffs damn near every year barring major injuries if he comes here. The talent is here and will keep coming. No excuse why we should not be like Bama, OSU, and Clemson.
