Inside Intel on Jalen Hall's official visit to FSU
Find out where things stand between Jalen Hall and Florida State after his official visit.
Long Beach (CA) Poly fours-star wide receiver Jalen Hall made his official visit to Florida State this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 192-pound receiver had been a long time target of Willie Taggart during his time at Oregon, but only recently started considering FSU once Taggart was hired.
Hall arrived in Tallahassee on Saturday at 2pm. The reason for the late start was due to a test that Hall needed to take on Friday. He departed at 3pm on Sunday. While on campus Hall was hosted by fellow 2018 recruits Amari Gainer and Jaiden Woodbey. Both were early enrollees for FSU and now on campus as they get ready to start their spring semester at FSU. Gainer, Woodbey and Hall are familiar with each other from the camp/7on7 circuits.
I’m told the visit went very well and was very busy. It was about getting Hall familiar with FSU’s campus, facilities and city, in just one day. The FSU staff would have liked to have him on campus for a full two days, but they fit everything in that Hall needed to see.
Oregon remains the biggest competition for FSU when it comes to Hall’s recruitment. From what I’m hearing there’s still work to be done with Hall. He was all set to go to Oregon when Taggart was there, now it’s about getting Hall comfortable with Taggart at Florida State. The battle for Hall is not over. I expect a trio of FSU coaches to be in California this weekend for an in-home visit with Hall. He’s mentioned that he’d like to decide soon, but there’s still not timetable on exactly when he’ll make his announcement.
