How much time do y'all think Willie really has to win before these white people really be on some other shyt? 2 years?

I ask because I'm reading the tea leaves and they're already nitpicking: lack of diversity on the staff, this or that coach isn't FSU caliber, the S&C doesn't have the credentials/education to be the head guy here, all these guys just seem like Willie's friends and not necessarily the best coaches, no all black staff has ever won anything of note and it's been tried, we lost this or that recruit -- they must not like Willie and so on. I see all these sentiments being bandied about. I'm sure y'all see it too. Basically, they're just waiting, but the pitchfork is still in the shed.

I'm sure Willie is smart enough to know -- given the makeup of his staff -- he's not going to get the rope a white coach would.

What's the window here? @Lucky_Lefty @Tide Run This @Flawdaboi @North of Death @Champ_KW

The thing is, it's just not white people. Black people been shytting on him too from some comments I've seen and even some people I talked to. Which is really disappointing. Not saying you shytted on him, but even you wanted Pruitt over Taggart. Pruitt has no HC experience and never turned any teams around. I'm really happy Willie T has an all black staff. Too many teams have an all white staff and nobody says shyt about it. Jimbo's staff pretty much sucked ass but it was ok.

My honest assessment is Willie will do NY6 or more in his first year. Then playoffs or more in his second year. He's going to win. He's black. The most over criticized race. Some people are socially conditioned to accept white as authority or a leader on a high level. Haven't heard a lot of shyt talking from white people about Jimbo till this year. Basically when you think of Willie T. Think of Denzel in "Remember The Titans".

His staff won't be all black when he wins. I'm sure they will force some diversity on it, because when black people do anything good. Whitey and everybody else has to have a piece.

If we arent ranked in the top 5 by the end of next year I believe these CACs will bring the pitchforks out in full force...Same shyt happened at USF where he almost got fired until he converted to the Gulf Coast...I just hope Stan is strong enough to not wilt if it comes down to it.
Fixed. TBH I'm not giving him a long rope due to the talent level we have. But I would be like this with any coach any race. I'm serious FSU's talent level is so high, there is no excuse you not in a NY6 bowl your rookie year.

I think we're less talented than you do, so I'm going to give him more rope. Our WR's, OL, and LB are way below FSU standards, in my opinion. I'm hoping you're right, though.

Fair enough, but we had some really shytty coaching the past few years. As a result these kids checked out. This is where coaching comes in and Willie T already proved can get the most out of players. The high level of talent is definitely there though.

It all comes down to how will the kids learn the scheme because theres still a bunch of holes on this team unless Willie goes the Juco route...Our line and line backers still arent up to par for me and thats the key to any championship pedigree

I think we are short of the talent in depth, but not that they are not highly talented. Trust me, you'll see a huge difference in this players. They weren't coached well. You can't tell me you couldn't see the decline of play over the last few years. That wasn't the talent, it was Jimbo. Losing BS games to the Carolinas and Louisville. Poor poor poor coaching.

But I'm not saying chip the first year. I'm saying NY6 bowl. So that's 2 or 3 losses.

This right here times 10...its why im putting us give or take 2 to 4 losses pending major injury...

Yeah, breh. Like people will watch the BC game and see they kicked our ass. Part of that is that we quit, but if you watch that game objectively they are way more athletic than us at the WR position. They have dudes that can fly and we have Keith Gavin. I watch WR's and see how they explode off the line because the best WR's beat you off the line of scrimmage, and none of ours do. :francis:

Yea only Tate the past 3 years measured up as an FSU caliber receiver for me...I wanna see what Tomorroion Terry does and we need about 4 WRs in this incoming class

I chalk it up to it being January and we have to wait until September to play with our new shiny toy. Everything will be nitpicked and criticized from now until then. Let Willie come out and be very vanilla come the spring game and it ends up being a 13-7 game, you'll hear a bunch of clowns ready to fire him. This the first coaching search in over 40 years, so this is the most most of these "fans" have ever invested in "vetting" candidates. So of course they're gonna turn into pseudo hiring experts which each hire.

Willie has a pretty long leash if you ask me (3 years).....that's if he beats UM and UF. Losing those games would go further in increasing dissension amongst the fanbase than his overall record. His track record is proven and I think there's nothing to worry about when it comes to that "clutter".

I'll give you WR, but everywhere else, we're fine with talent. We're 2 years removed from signing the #1 OL class in the country. Dontavious and Josh are really good LBs. What you saw from those units was piss poor coaching and and injuries.

This offense is designed to mask talent deficits anyway. Pass blocking is always the hardest for OL's, but this is a run heavy offense. The extra "eye candy" with the motions and jet sweeps stalls the opposing teams D line which allows the O line to win battles easier. The WRs don't have to deal with those bullshyt option routes Jimbo had them running where everything had to be in sync to work. Watch film on this offense and you'll see how often the WRs are running wide open. FSU hardly ever had those type of busts with Jimbo. If the WR can block on the edge with jet sweeps and bubble screens and win the occasional 1-on-1 with a CB who's eyes are in the backfield and a safety who's in the box to stop the run, we're good. McKitty is about to straight feast in this offense at TE because of that too.

If Barnett stay true to his press, "9" man box, our LBs will be straight too. It allows for the LB to play down hill and even if they get sucked up on a play action, it won't put them in that bad of a spot. They simply have 2 reads since they're a base 4 quarters defense. If your "WR" (RB) doesn't take you out on a route....attack. Only two things to worry about. This team is talented. Think about it....we're probably gonna have just as many players drafted as we did wins this regular season. We have former #1 players at their position in Taylor, Cam, Wilson, Kaindoh, and Baveon. The cupboard isn't bare at all. Jimbo and staff just didn't do these kids justice with their efforts these last 2 years.
