its always these boxers who had no childhood that turn out to be the goats:ohhh:
I mean that's just the way it works with anything. Think about it. If you were groomed to be something from the beginning of your life there's a good chance you'd be incredible at it as well by the time you reached adulthood.

Making small increments everyday that make you better makes it look like natural talent to outsiders.

If you start that process during childhood, then you definitely have an enormous base for great things. There is really no point with competing against anybody but yourself.

I have the black version of this shirt that list all his titles on the back and has WBC patch on the arm. As of the right now I can't find that version no more.

Just want to update you guys I contacted Roots of Fight about the RJJ shirt that I have. They said they are out of stock of the black one pictured below. So yall better get the other while you can because from their response it doesn't look like they that eager to produce it again.

Hi Achille,
Thank you for reaching out to Roots of Fight.
We are currently sold out of the Roy Jones Jr shirt and at this time do not have scheduled plans to restock that shirt. This does not rule out working with this style again. Please sign up to our e-newsletter to see if this happens.
Please let us know if you have any further inquiries.
Best,
Roots of Fight

I love me Ali, Bruce Lee and Tyson but they are making tons of gear for them while my GOAT only gets one shirt with no restocks.

The whole Terror Squad was there and he gave no fukks :lupe: Roy never got the credit he deserved cause he made everyone look like amateurs. They talk about Floyd being fast which he is, but Roy's speed was ridiculous. I was in awe watching him dismantle Toney.

i never felt floyd was on roys level. not taking anything away from floyd he is the best of his era, but he lacked the power, effortless combinations and fluidity. he was the closest to roy probably but roy was a one off freak of nature. i was watching his olympic final again recently and even as a 19 yr old:whew: what he did to the korean boy was something horrible. worst decision in the history of decisions. worse even than bush-gore 2000. it was like he had in built radar the way he would avoid punches coming his way and he would do it with little movement, no wasted energy. cant think of a more talented fighter. i think ray leonard is the most complete fighter i ever saw, but he didnt have roy’s natural talent

The one thing I hate is excuses in boxing and tennis...because it's all on you. Your dedication and drive is what gets you results...IF you got injured in camp, don't fight. Doesn't make any sense. This is boxing...you could get brain damage acting brave and shyt.

I don't agree with this. Floyd at 130/135 is a different animal than the Floyd at 140 and up. He was 30-0 with 21KOs, his combination punching was incredible, and his workrate was high. The way he transitioned from ultra-defense to super aggressive back then was other wordly.

people forget that floyd got plenty of KO's. And due to his superior boxing skills he has stood the test of time without taking any damage pretty much.

agreed, super feather was his best weight. i just like roys fluidity of punches a bit more. floyd at 130lbs was technical perfection though. i still feel roy pound for pound was a bigger puncher and more explosive when going on the offense. im not gonna fault floyd at all, just pointing out why roy is the gold standard to me.

RJJ is so god damn fast that is unfair. Didn't even look like he loaded up on that right.

Someone posted a 2pc he threw and said it looked like he was on FF'd, best way to describe roy imo.

I remember someone saying the impact of that punch ringside sounded like a shotgun blast. Devastating
