Man, some of y’all are dumb as fukk. If history (even recent history: see BLM 2016-2017, Occupy Wall Street, Obama “change” etc.) has shown us ANYTHING it’s that if you don’t capitalize and invoke real change while the community is galvanized - the movement and energy that fed the movement will fizzle, and the status quo will remain. Movements/reformation needs consistent fuel to stay ablaze. Kyrie is right. The time is now. Not 400 years ago. Not 400 years from now. Not two years from now nor 20. All entertainment is escapism in some form or fashion. That’s natural. But, this black people being shoehorned and marginalized into second class citizenship shyt? That’s unnatural. And like an unnatural body that enters the blood stream - that shyt gotta go immediately.

I don’t even know how a black person could have any opposition towards Kyrie’s stance; but this is the Coli.

Max 40k.. Celtics.. (The format, their youth, coaching, really like this pic)

spot on. i've criticized kyrie for years but he's absolutely right about this

turning socks inside out, taking warmup pictures in I Can't Breathe shirts, doing commercials with corporate partners who just want their branding to look progressive.... its been done before and the results were not remarkable. The fact that they're even brewing this is a HUGE change considering what typically happens.

I'm all for it. Hope they do the most with their leverage.

Let me say my peace about the situation.

Yall know I live basketball, I've provided updates on all things basketball for year's now. Shout out to the homie @Flex Luger

My entire Twitter timeline is NBA related and last night all and I mean all of the NBA media are saying Kyrie is basically fukking up the season. My entire timeline was shut up and dribble. I understand that the media folks have jobs and mouth's to feed, but most of the NBA media is not black. They don't really understand what this MOMENT means to black people.

I understand what Kyrie and others are trying to accomplish. We have the moment a d won't ever have it like this again in our life time. So why not take the moment to really show togetherness for the bullshyt that we have been going through forever.

Now, we have the business side of thing's as well. What y'all not understanding is even if they play the league is gonna have to tear up the current Cba regardless. It current doesn't fit the current times/pandemic we're in.

I listen to NBA pods and read articles on a daily basis and I'm kinda disappointed at the NBA media. You report on black people for a living and as soon as the player's want to take a stand on something the media says no just go back to work or go back to work and take your stance. I fukking hate the title of this tweet and lost some respect for Woj

I love the league. I selfish as it sounds I want it to come back. But I definitely understand the views of other's and what REAL change can be made.

Sorry for the long post (it's usually tweets) Lol,but I needed to get this shyt off my chest

Y’all really eat this shyt up man:pachaha:

Some guys just don’t want to play. They’ve already settled into the offseason. Basketball isn’t like soccer where you really have to train all year.

Plus they just don’t want to be away from home for months.

They’re not really thinking about not playing over social issues.

The NBA media is NOT going to be fair to these guys. Its one thing to say you're beside the players and their situations/communities, but its very, very different when ESPN and other spots are looking to trim down positions every week and the company needs those ratings back without question.

A lot of people are gonna get sideways about all this... Whether its health concerns or the social situation, they have legit grounds.

The shyt has already fizzled some from two weeks ago.The energy isn’t the same or as intense .Imagine a month from now .

The NBA suspending its season would have minimal ,if any impact on the movement.

If the NBA doesn’t come back something will just fill the void .

If these players wanted to make an impact they could’ve been out there from day 1 like Jaylen Brown,Lonnie Walker and DSJ but nikkas was sitting on their hands .

but they think sitting out a month from now is some grand statement that’s going to show white people they mean business?? When NASCAR,Golf,NHL,UFC,MLB and possibly NFL/NCAA training camps are going on ? All they would be doing is setting back black men from gaining wealth and destroying any leverage they have in negotiations

Yea bruh them sitting out would have an economic impact that would DEFINITELY be felt. Of ourse they’d feel it more than the owners but the owners still would too.

Y’all need to just keep it a buck and say y’all miss sports moreso than the chance to get yourself out of oppression. I for one would love to have basketball back and in TV. But at the same time this is a PIVOTAL time in history for us so why welcome the distractions back? This ain’t about their money for y’all. It’s about yalls over obsession with sports...
