They don’t even know if they will have fans next season. They don’t have a plan. They got almost two months to get everything together and the only thing that was agreed on was coming back July 30th

The media is heavily biased in wanting to play as their livelihood is based on them playing. They just want the players out there playing regardless of what happens. The lack of games played is hitting them financially hard just as much as the players.

And this should be celebrated. I love turning on the TV and watching them squirm with barely anything to talk about...

this isn't about lebron; numerous players want/wanted to return to bball

but if a large number of players won’t/can’t play who cares if some top stars want to play? Durant isn’t playing anyway

what’s the rush? Someone needs to explain that to me

Kind of a big tangent, but being biased towards the best and more visible players was a huge problem for the NBAPA in the past. Those guys have the largest financial ecosystems around them so its obvious they'll view things very, very differently than the average player. And they probably truly feel that their platform could be used to a positive end right now. I don't necessarily disagree with that logic either. I just feel that that most of those guys have had opportunities to do something more impactful in the past when momentum was available and that the majority of players feel that it hasn't been enough or been properly aligned with everyone's goals.

Y’all really eat this shyt up man:pachaha:

Some guys just don’t want to play. They’ve already settled into the offseason. Basketball isn’t like soccer where you really have to train all year.

Plus they just don’t want to be away from home for months.

They’re not really thinking about not playing over social issues.
Because you said so? :heh:

Its apparent throughout this thread that most Coli posters are just assuming that covid is just gonna randomly disappear at some point before next season would be ready to start. If they don't come back this summer (because of fear of the virus) then theres really no reasonable expectation it'll be better this fall/winter.

Let me say my peace about the situation.

Yall know I live basketball, I've provided updates on all things basketball for year's now. Shout out to the homie @Flex Luger

My entire Twitter timeline is NBA related and last night all and I mean all of the NBA media are saying Kyrie is basically fukking up the season. My entire timeline was shut up and dribble. I understand that the media folks have jobs and mouth's to feed, but most of the NBA media is not black. They don't really understand what this MOMENT means to black people.

I understand what Kyrie and others are trying to accomplish. We have the moment a d won't ever have it like this again in our life time. So why not take the moment to really show togetherness for the bullshyt that we have been going through forever.

Now, we have the business side of thing's as well. What y'all not understanding is even if they play the league is gonna have to tear up the current Cba regardless. It current doesn't fit the current times/pandemic we're in.

I listen to NBA pods and read articles on a daily basis and I'm kinda disappointed at the NBA media. You report on black people for a living and as soon as the player's want to take a stand on something the media says no just go back to work or go back to work and take your stance. I fukking hate the title of this tweet and lost some respect for Woj

I love the league. I selfish as it sounds I want it to come back. But I definitely understand the views of other's and what REAL change can be made.

Sorry for the long post (it's usually tweets) Lol,but I needed to get this shyt off my chest

Mike the goat

It’s been fukk Woj for a while now for me. His breaking news tweets are cool but his opinion pieces he writes are straight garbage.
