The only way a black man is touching a WHC is if they make another one for Smackdown. Even then they have to compete with AJ and Cena at the least. If they make another WHC they need another set of Tag Belts too. Feuds can't travel over brands. That wouldn't make sense. One women's belt is fine. They can't even give them more than one match on Raw. They don't need to appear on Smackdown. Most of them don't even get used anyway.

So now the TSC consensus is there needs to be 2 world titles, 2 tag titles, and 2 women's titles :mjlol:

You guys must have amnesia and forgot how watered down the product became after 2004. It would be one thing if Vince wasn't an egomaniac and had the ability to be even-handed with talent but we know that to be false. If the Raw and Smackdown champion is booked like boxing (WBO/WBA) where the champ makes the belt and the title is just a title then that's fine but we know he's gonna favor Raw after awhile and we know he's gonna put more effort into his main show.

I still think the brand split is a bad idea and it's gonna blow up on them down the line again but maybe Smackdown going live will make this different. Their booking and storytelling is just so terrible right now that I don't know how they're going to be able to juggle two different sets of storylines when they can barely make sense out of things right now. Yall are optimistic and I get it considering the talent that can get more shine but history says this won't end well for anyone.

2 World titles is going to devalue one of them. It happened last time, it'll happen again if they do it.

welll raw is the flagship show so whatever title on that show will matter more probably but with smackdown going live, you can argue that smackdown has a shot to surpass raw in ratings and at best, have a strong chance to balance out the "flagship" show title... and who really gives a f*** about devaluing titles and which one matters more....that's still not a compelling argument why i should have to see the same overpushed Reigns or Cena or whoever on both shows.....don't you want two different experiences ...like how NXT feels completely different from Raw now?

imagine if Reigns was showing up on NXT right now :scust:... no thanks... a split needs to be a split and people need to stop worrying about "devalued" titles in a fake fighting make believe world and worry about what will give us the fans a more compelling television product

Like I said one of these shows can't be pg are its just two live episodes of raw

Good idea, but won't happen. Could be like..

Raw

- TV-PG rating, aimed at younger fans and the low IQ / easily entertained adult audience.

- Roman Reigns and John Cena are the main stars. The rest of the roster consist of the more "family friendly" talent.

- The middle hour of the show could focus on WWE patting themselves on the back for their charity work, highlights of Roman looking strong, footage of Cena taking pictures with the kids, etc.

- Keep the storylines simple and with little to no logic. Focus on putting smiles on people's faces. All the kids and moms are happy.

Smackdown

- TV-14 rating, aimed at the adult audience (doesn't have to be TV-MA like the Attitude Era, but cater to adults)

- Seth Rollins and A.J. Styles are the main stars. The rest of the roster consist of edgier talent opposite of the typical talent on the Raw roster.

- Two hours on Tuesday works well (no Monday/Thursday Night Football to compete with, most adults have less time to watch TV anyways)

- More realistic storylines that push the limits and can attract even casual adult fans. Focus on the wrestling talent and less scripted promos.

But yea. Won't happen :pachaha:

Missed out on a mania me match of brock vs ryback in the chase for the whc and later a brock versus Batista me as well.

This company is inept.
All because they only know how to use Hogan meets cena clique style booking.
Or wack wannabe rehashes of clique failure to draw angles, matches and content.

This company is inept.

Art Barr
EXACTLY!!!

Even when they had two fukking belts the fans still knew wasn't the real WHC. Bryan had already had the WHC yet the fans hijacked the show to no end until they became forced to put the WWET on him. That completely discombobulated months of booking/negotiations to bring back Tista and do Tista/Brock and instead we got the night of Bryan only for him to bury evolution then end up on the injury list.

I don't see how two "WHC's" is going to solve this. One will always be the "real" one and because smarks want shyt just to want it they are going to hijack the shows again when "their" guy (AJ) is saddled with the fake WHC. I say just avoid this altogether and keep one WHC and keep smarks far from that storyline.

you get it.

Dudes are overestimating the value of 1-belt.

Have the champ on RAW, ok he fights with whomever on RAW.....then he goes to SD the following night and fights with whomever on there too? Doesn't make sense. Every show should have a main event angle. And you can't have 1 champ dealing with 1 contender from RAW and 1 contender from SD at the same time.

They can easily sell a new belt to the audience. How? Hell, do a pop-up ppv(like Roadblock), and have a tourney for it. Let Brock win it or Cena win it. Boom..belt has immediate legs.
Umm... you have the champ doing his feud on one show while the other determines the #1 contender, then the next month the champ goes over to face the other #1 contender on the other show'sPPV and do that feud while they flip flop. Not hard actually!

no offense, but that's kinda silly. If yu're gonna do 1 champ on both shows, then why even do a brand split period? And you're still gonna have a log jam of 6-7 #1 contenders being wasted b/c everyone can't compete for 1 belt.

IMO, there's no successful split without 2 belts.

Nobody is gonna watch Smackdown just to see mid-carders get more time. Sure it helps overall, but the main event storyline is the meat. Basically nobody will tune in Monday to see Roman, then say, "I gotta tune in again Tues to see Roman again with a different undercard"

You keep the champ and title off the show until it's time for that feud.... not hard.

Yeah the two titles idea doesn't make sense from that standpoint. They should just put more emphasis on the midcard titles` importance.

Honestly there's only one true champ. The whole premise of having two world titles is illogical when we know there's a superior and inferior champ.:dame:

If there is gonna be two world titles then they might as well give them each a world tag title and a women's title. While they at it they might as well bring back brand ppvs.:yeshrug:

Otherwise every ppv is gonna be like night of champions.:skip:

....and what title was featured on SD! in 2002 and 2003? The WWE title....

That, combined with SD! having Lesnar, Angle, and other stars, storylines and factors, was the reason why SD! was considered the OTHER A-show at the time, as opposed to the B-show it was for most other years

The WWE title will ALWAYS be seen as the top title by fans. Period. No matter what other 'world' title someone tries to come up with. Yes, there was a period when they genuinely tried to push the WHC as being equal to the WWE title....and that was upon its debut when Triple H was hogging it and using it to increase his championship reigns. He held the belt for almost 2 years combined in its first 3 years.....then his new toy finally got old in 2005, and he never touched it since (as an individual belt)

And even then, fans knew it was the 'weaker' title, which is why the WWE eventually dumped it onto SD! when it became the undisputed B-show. Dudes like Christian and Mark Henry winning it was only a big deal because they finally won a 'top' title in the company....but we all knew them winning the WWE title would have been better

So since the alternative 'world' title will be seen as #2 regardless.....why not have the IC title as the top 'world' title on a show, where they can treat it like it's actually worth something for the first time in years? Unlike the WWE's WHC or whatever new title they come up with, it already has a respected decades-long history where it was held by some of the greats; Savage, Warrior, Perfect, Bret, Shawn, Razor, Austin, Rock, Jericho, etc......

We need to be honest with ourselves: dudes like Rusev, Owens, Bray, Cesaro and Ziggler aren't winning that WWE title. I'll even throw in Ambrose and Styles. Yes, I went there.

So why not give them shine on a show where they can fight over the IC title in major feuds as if it's the WWE title? Yes technically it would be the weaker show, but wouldn't that be better than the current atmosphere of having them in forgettable throwaway IC/US title feuds that get lost in the shuffle of constantly-promoted WWE title feuds? And who knows.....depending on the show quality it could still manage to get viewership/ratings as good as Raw, or even better

At least give them a year or 2 of main-event IC title feuds on SD!, before drafting them to Raw to pretend like they have a shot at winning the WWE title when we know damn well they don't, and will just get lost in the shuffle

they did have the wwe title from 02-03 but later half of 03-05 the RAW title was seen as more credible, main evented both manias those years, it was obvious.

Right....because Triple H was a participant in both of those WHC main events, still tryna put that belt over

That's the ONLY reason the WHC ever got that much of a push as 'the' title in the company. He would've probably tried to main-event WM 19 with it too, if not for the fact that the belt was only a couple months old, and that he was feuding with Booker at the time instead of Goldberg (or another more 'worthy' name)

Notice how the WHC was never involved in a WM main event since then (with the exception of Taker vs. Edge....and that was only the main event because Taker's streak was involved and had become a big 'thing' by then)
