That option is being force fed John cena, which the last 11 years of dwindling reactions and ratings have shown is not something the audience wants either

I had the same idea:

Instead of having two world titles AGAIN :comeon:….instead, make the IC title the 'top' title on SD!…..but on that show, treat it like it's almost as important as the WWE title….as opposed to the distant 2nd title it's seen as now. Basically treat it like the WHC was treated on SD!; give the IC champ and his challengers/feuds the same amount of airtime, focus, hype, video packages, and perceived importance on SD! that the WWE title gets on Raw

All those talented-but-smaller guys that the WWE doesn't want to hold their historic top title? Let the IC title be their ceiling, BUT treat it as if it's almost on par with the bigger men fighting for the WWE title

This could also make Royal Rumble and MITB outcomes more interesting. Someone on SD! could win the Rumble and start making special appearances on Raw before WM (and the champ can appear on SD!). A SD! MITB winner can bide his time until making a surprise appearance on Raw to cash in, to have everyone :ohhh: :krs:. In either case, if they beat the champ….auto draft to Raw. If not….back to SD! to be shamed and clowned by other SD! wrestlers

There's no point in having two 'world' titles when people have always seen (and always will see) the WWE title as the 'main' one. The only time they tried to push the WHC as being just as important as the WWE title, was after its Raw debut and Triple H kept making a big deal out of having it. And even then…..Brock having the title on SD! at that time, made it quite obvious who the real champion was in the company

It worked wonders during the greatness of the 02-06 Smackdown era, it's been boring so this brand split is coming at the perfect time imo. It won't happen but i'd be great if SD came back with the "I Want it All" theme song:banderas:
