Can yall explain to me why Disney let marvel actually take stories from the comics and adapt them. But with Star Wars they just pulling shyt out the air and making shyt up.....like there aren't books and comics that they can adapt from.

Is it all because of that stank heffa kathleen?

Probably. But Disney owns Marvel comics, so those things are already out there. With Star Wars EU, that's even more of a niche market than comics, so I take it they figured that a few angry geeks, is nothing compared to the appeal of the mainstream market.

I honestly don't think they'll do anything outside of the one-off films, after 9. They don't care about world building, or expansion, just the cash grab. They haven't even set up the new trilogy properly.

I don't even know why they went with a Han movie, when even Chewie would've been the better character. Why did he abandon looking for his family to roll with Han? As long as he interacts with other speaking characters, it would've been good. Hell, a Leia origin would been better. How did this princess become a soldier. Did she have Force visions, and how did she deal with being Force sensitive?

Lucas left them decades of stories worth telling, and they said "eff this, we just want the name."

I still haven't seen TLJ but I keep seeing people claim there's a backlash due to it. However didn't that movie make a boat load of money?

Yes. But it made $700 million less than the previous film and had terrible legs and is easily the most hated star wars film since the prequels.

I wonder how episode 9 does.

It's pretty much all on JJ to save the franchise. That's an ASTRONOMICAL burden he is now forced to carry. Just think of how ridiculous that is.

He might need to consult with George on what to do. Even behind Kathleen's back if necessary.

The hilarious thing is people where done with JJ Abrams after TFA too. It kind of shows how badly Rian Johnson messed up that people said "Bring back the glorified tv-director who just blatantly copied the old shyt".

Side-note: the thing Kennedy and all them other studio hacks fail to realize is that people want something new. The reason comic book movie fatigue never happened like people expected is because studios didn't rely on the same five characters to carry 8 movies. They introduced new characters, new worlds, new stories and above all, tried different tones and atmospheres so things stay fresh. Compare that to Star Wars' insane nostalgia pandering and it's understandable why people got sick of it.

Nothing wrong with the nostalgia if done properly, they are just butchering it. Even with TFA being ANH 1.5 you could at least see the start of a transition. Unfortunately TLJ completely shytted on everything we've come to know of the Star Wars universe and IMO destroyed the franchise. Solo was a one off no one asked for. The ones we want are Obi, Boba, even Plagueis

Can we also admit the Jedi themselves have become stale and boring. Can they make a new movie about some different characters that acquire and learn the ways of the force but are not Jedi? And make it serious in tone and plot and it doesn't have to be a grand save the universe story as well. Give us a mystery. That's how the original three were, you were always learning and seeing something new about the Star Wars world and the Force. Now every film is basically something we already seen before just repackaged. For example something like a Neo in The Matrix could've been the new age force practitioner/star wars alter-universe to build upon..But yeah its too much emotional shyt with the Jedi and their gear is starting to look wack. The Sith too.
