my Jobs is having me and a few of the other jr devs learn a very rare and Obscure language that’s used at very few companies. I mean you can’t even really find any documentation of the language online. My thing is I don’t wanna get placed in the role of primarily coding in this language.

I created my first node/express site. Never made it to sleep last night, finished at 8am. I ran into problems and was able to get everything fixed. Now, I'm adding a Paypal checkout and the email for the contact page. I love this. I can't wait til I am able to do it full time. Being paid by a relative for this site, they'd wanted one for a while for their small business. Showed them what I came up with and they're excited. Next week, I'll at least have one project to add to my resume, then begin my second.

Stepping away from JS to learn Python was the best choice I could've made. Things just made so much more sense, when I came back. What problems I run into, I can research and figure out with trial and error.

Would you like some help of any kind? (don't have to pay me) I'm fullstack but specialize (or trying to) in backend. A collaborative/team-oriented project is way more valuable for your portfolio as it shows your future employers that you can work in a team and have sufficient communication skills. It shows that you're not an antisocial loner.

Thanks for the offer. I may run into some issues down the line and post some questions, but I'm very interested in collabing on a separate project. Do you have other programmers you're already working with or a project in mind? I don't really care what the project is, I'm just interested in continuing to learn and demonstrating what I've learned to potential employers.

Not really. It could be anything I guess be it a web app, a mobile app, a game, I don't know. Currently I'm working on a website by myself. Wouldn't mind taking on a side project.

Just finished a CV/Resume site. Knocked it out today on my current job. Did this one using static files, instead of EJS. My next target is React, then react native for mobile apps. I have a language learning app in mind for mobile.

Why do you think it would be difficult?

I'm not a professional coder. Just a college dropout with no job history. An all around loser who wasted years watching porn and playing video games. Trying to get my life together now. Currently building up a viable portfolio in hopes of gaining employment as a full stack web developer.
I thought you were a retired C++ programmer. I'm an idiot in community college who got his financial aid on suspension due to procrastinating on projects. I must have ADHD because I was a class clown in highschool. Oh well.

Deploy about 5 sites and apply nonstop... like you might have to go 3 months straight of applying. for all they hype the tech industry up to be, it's really difficult to get in in the first place now.

Honestly it looks like I may need some help with my site on the frontend. I've been tinkering with the CSS for <b>hours</b> and still can't get the result I want. I'm not built for this frontend shyt as it's too tedious and mind numbing for me.

I did c++ as a teenager. It was my first language. Didn't do anything professionally with it though.

Yeah it's really depressing.
