when i file >import> video frames to layers


i get an error about quick time... is that requirement?? i don't rock wit itunes so i don't have QT.. is there a work around or do I have to have it ...?

i get an error about quick time... is that requirement?? i don't rock wit itunes so i don't have QT.. is there a work around or do I have to have it ...?

you are probably trying to import a video format that it does
not understand. personally, i always use .mov format.
you may need a video converter. i use Format Factory.
check the options when you download the video, your downloading
software may off the option to convert it for you.

Photoshop accepts mov, mp4, mpeg, / wmv, avi,
open and save as copy in mov format, and try again.

another problem could be an outdated version of Quicktime.

thx for the input I don't currently have QT .. and i choose a mp4 format... a vid from youtube

i had problems selecting the range so it took me a while to delete the frames i wanted. luckily it was a small video. i used shift and the slider to move to portion i wanted but didn't exactly give me the portion i wanted.

anyway this is my first photoshop gif...

good shyt.
i can usually get within 1 frame of where i want
to clip the vid using the slider. it shouldn't take
too long to delete frames you want once you import
them. you can use the shift button on the animation frames
to select a bunch of unwanted frames all at once.
