Idk man i Just saw the beat battle and Swizz rocked em b4 that I thought timbo was better because Swizz is repititve af. im not really a fan of either like that. but recognize they both got talent and can bring heat here and there. The thing bout timbo is he’s more r&b and pop oriented and has good bangers every once in awhile but there all club bangers he would nvr be top tier to me in a hip hop perspective. He has talent and probably more musical knowledge but I think Swizz is the better hip hop producer. & I think timbos an underachiever wen it comes to hip hop probably because I fukk with Neptune’s heavy and always felt they were superior.

Look at the hype Timbaland gets he should be above that but in reality he’s not. He could have all the talent he wants but somehow he’s stuck on that level from a hip hop perspective. Neptune’s would wash timbo they got albums and can produce hits or whatever I can’t say the same for him.

for a beat battle it really boils down to showmanship and familiarity, especially if both are known for hits.

We can all agree Swizz is one hell of a hype man.

If Tim played some random shyt that could be argued is better production wise, but the crowd didn't know it, he'd lose to some basic shyt a crowd knew

I can’t see some shyt being outdated if I can still bump it 20 years later let alone 99. Havoc was better then Swizz at that time, theirs no way Swizz could ever produce a album like Murda Muzik. Flesh of my flesh was dope but that’s more because of dmx helping the beats and his energy. It would’ve been cool for Swizz to have 3-4 tracks on there but not the whole album. Not at all saying Swizz doesn’t have classic beats because he has some but he wouldnt touch havoc in that time or all time. Swizzs best beats are ruff Ryder’s anthem, good times and probably party up and that’s a single, (there’s a couple others) but it’s hard to even choose a best beat for havoc because he has so many not just that but classic albums. To each their own but there’s no way man.
