Just off the strength of this I'm never going back and forth with a nicca arguing about Swizz on here again , further evidence that most of the hate he receives is from delusional backpackers and niccas with no rhythm

I'm a "Golden Age/Backpacker" nikka and I love Swizz :manny:

a lot of his detractors weren't around when he was in his prime, but for me in my late teens and early twenties that was the shyt we would throw on just to get live to when we wanted to get loose.

ain't nobody trying to drink and go out to the club and listen to Kweli, Company Flow, Dilated Peoples and Lootpack :mjlol:

there's a time and a place for everything and for his lane, he's one of the best to ever do it. his resume speaks for itself. if you nikkas don't believe me go google his production credits. if you look up the definition of banger in the dictionary you're gonna see a picture of Swizzy :wow:

Lot of lies in that post.

First, Missy elliott's career>>>>>> Eve

Cassidy wasn't exactly a star. Any rapper Timbaland produced for in the '00's was at least gold. And people forget, Timbaland introduced Luda.

Drag-On is Magoo status. The difference is Magoo can say he has a platinum plaque off of an album that actually had hits and got more than 2.5 mics in The Source.

Speaking of The Lox, the biggest song on We Are The Streets is produced by Timbaland.

am i the only one who wants to see these guys and other five star production legends do a real beat battle? even if they havent been behind the boards in a decade let them dust off an ASR-10 or whatever they're comfortable with. running through playlists doesnt do it for me

Swizz, Timbaland, KLC, and Ke'Noe were once all my favorite producers. I checked for everything their names were attached to. For me, Swizz had an incredible 1999 and then started to decline and never reached that height again. Meanwhile, Timbaland elevated, even though there was a point where I was disappointed with him too.

I hate on Swizz sometimes but to keep it 100% I think Swizz is the better hip hop producer and Timbo is the better r&b/pop producer.

Swizz has more misses. The tracks Timbo produced for Nas get flack, but Nas still performs the songs and he had legit hits with Tim. Can't say the same for Swizz. Jay and Tim have more classics together than Jay and Swizz. Tim has been a part of the same albums with Swizz and Tim's joints were bigger and more celebrated than Swizz's with Vol. 2 being arguable and BP3 being the other one.

All in all, saying Timbaland is a better R&B/Pop producer begs the question of why Swizz is battling Timbaland. Obviously Tim is held in high regard as a Hip Hop producer.

Timbo countered all Swizz's Jay-Z tracks.
Aaliyah + Beyonce = Tip the scale.

Did you even listen?

timbo countered with lesser jay-z tracks.
did YOU listen to the actual crowd reaction or were you just fully immersed in your bubble?

the fact tha timbaland had to resort to r&b tracks is telling.
and he still lost.
