I also think that raising children carries over into the late teens too. As a person that grew up around black people I noticed that some black parents feel like once the kid is 15 they are done raising them. Then once they are 18 they are ready for the Universe. A parent should play an active role in a child's life even when they enter young adulthood.

Yes you are right. I see this with a lot of young parents. Many do not realize that once you have kids you need to change for your kids benefit. Of course I am not saying that you need to live like a 90 year old vegetable, but I am saying that all the things that you did when you were childless/single does not need to carry over into parenthood. I knew one young lady that I grew up with who got pregnant at 16. The chick is 21 now partying it up, trying to look fly 24/7, and etc. I see this with a lot of young mothers.

Yep, especially in this era, where the club is practically the new church, more and more people want to party it up in later stages in life. Even worse for young ass mothers that are uneducated and don't have a stable family structure. It wasn't like this in the 60s with all the open racism going on back then.
