How is rap to blame when the themes of the songs is a reflection of the environment and current state / plight of black people you can't blame the result , the inception of rap was literally due to poverty , oppression and hopelessness ...
rap may be a reflection, but the average ignorant ass nikka ain't shining. Rappers are shining by being as ignorant as possible. The whole so and so ain't real, he had a job, he went to college. What the fukk kinda logic is that? We piss on people for having legal jobs and furthering their education? Art imitates life, but also life imitates art. Your reality and my reality may not be the same but we both see 50 Cent. You think 50 Cent just does what he has to do. I may see 50 Cent as cool and someone I want to emulate even if I don't need to live that life.

Forced neutering? Do you understand how disgusting what you just posted is? Euthanizing people based on a code of conduct? You need to step back if you are a black person and really understand the implications of the things youre saying. I cant believe black people are talking like this. this is the real tragedy, not that the poorest among us are also uneducated and ratchetz

Nah, the people who are ignorant and ratchet don't get to pass down their genetics. No matter what income level they are.

We got to end this shyt bluntly.

I'm not saying it going to dictate whether were successful or not , but it does have a profound effect on how we perceive ourselves if that person doesn't decide to do their research manually .
I don't think it does. Some kids are already fukked up long before they reach a school due to bad parenting etc.

It gotta stop...its beyond entertainment and being the "ghetto CNN". Hip hop ain't reporting nothing, its just glorifying the worst things possible

These rappers r paid by corporation s to spread bullshyt to the youth

Idk bro, I always been an obverser that seeked knowledge no matter how harsh the truth was...I think a lot of black ppl know but don't want to face reality like some us...reality hurt, but were coming to a crossroads and time is running out...

I think a lot of it start with hip hop, because these rappers drive the youth, we might see them as clowns but young kids think they're the coolest nikkas ever, not knowing they are being paid to pollute these kids minds
modern-day hiphop is definantly one of the bigger tools of oppression being used against us today. Sad thing is we still see it as "just entertainment". No, its a tool of propaganda being used to stagnate the black mind and to continue the demonization of the black image on a global scale

It used to be the ghetto CNN until we allowed jews to intrude our culture and dictate it from an economic standpoint now they can put who ever they desire at the forefront and :flabbynsick: nikkas like Melly Mel wanna complain about the current state of hip hop but him nor his peers made an effort to have authority of the culture & build and invest their own record labels right before hip hop was about to have an impact on the mainstream world ..

By paying taxes, you are complicit in your own destruction by that logic. Trying to divide instead of unify the black community on common ground is the worst possible thing for blacks.

I'm not sure why you would think it's such a bad thing. In comparison to other communities, we are usually the only one's who are defined by the worst segments of our community. Those who perpetuate destruction not only need to be ostracized to an extent but shamed. By there being social repercussions for destructive behavior, we'd actually give people a standard to strive to.

You can't blame Melle Mel or whites. You got to blame blacks. NWA ushered in the "gangsta" era. They didn't like "soft nikkas". Then "real nikkas" didn't like "studio gangsters" pretending to be "real nikkas". The thing is the only "real nikka" to ever sell a lot was Master P and he controlled his own destiny. He eventually got himself locked out, but not before talking billions of dollars from tptb.

Please dont tell me we still think this:snoop: Originally that was what hiphop represented but those days have long been over with. You have to "find" hiphop with positive, uplifting messages. The easily-accessible, mainstream hiphop that the world mainly identifies rap with is an exaggerated caricature of the most negative stereotypes of black people. This is by design.

Modern-day hiphop is being used to continue the spreading of the negative stereotypes highlighted in this thread:

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/iden...s-brutes-c00ns-toms-and-sapphires-etc.221290/

The demonization of the image of the black race has been a tactic used by the white man for a very long time. It continues today. We view our own genre of music that we created as "just entertainment" while our enemy (who now controls it) views it as a weapon for his gain.

I blame systematic racism.

The problem is certainly systematic, however I wouldn't confine it solely to racism. That's too easy of a scapegoat and it ultimately alleviates us from taking accountability. Combating systematic racism effectively is going to take a strong community. A strong community takes strong families. Strong families are only made possible through self accountable and socially responsible individuals.
