NHL has fallen off within the last 10 years in the states.

its actually got much better since the lockout. more people watching, winter classic, nbc's huge contract, teams like pittsburgh, boston, chicago, detroit winning recently, etc.

this lockout would kill all the momentum the sport and league has had :snoop:

The game got worse after the lockout, too many bullshyt penalties, half the game on special teams. Not as much hitting, enforcers being phased out

1992 NHL strike - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Minor but right there during Bettmans first year they lost the first round of the playoffs.
looking at nhl season history they ate good off the 92 season with 84 gms played. It also stated in that article that the lockout was in april (and only lasted a week and 3 days).Where is this stuff about 164 gms lost? the only shortened season of that period was in the 94-95 season

Yup, that's the state of the NHL these days. They're locking out and no one cares. No marketable players, either (even MLS has a player in the Forbes 100 )

Sidney Crosby? Ovechkin, subban?

Actually folks do care it's just that we already know what's going to happen, owners won't budge and neither will players, untill they need money and they will

The owners won last time and they will again this time

Sorry that should be 123 games lost. Still bad.
