this, the product is unbearable and the gulf between the handful of stars and the rest of the league is ridiculous. There is no middle ground, you are either one of the few elite or average/below average. This past season was putrid, I cant recall one standout feat other than iginla's milestone.
Easy obi1, as bad as NNHL is MLB will never supplant it from an entertainment standpoint......EVER!!!

Lol, the cup final was garbage, the kings would have been destroyed in 1997.

they did back in 2004 and they are most likely going to have one again. Die hard hockey fan here but ya this league is terrible. 3 lockouts in the last 20years.:ohlawd:
And you are forgetting that in those 3 lockouts there was 1 where they lost a whole season :snoop:

And the 1992 strike.

There have been 4 work stoppages since 1992 with at least 164 games of play lost. 2 full seasons. And then 2004-2005 which adds another 82 games for a total of 246 games lost.

Hockey was just getting back on it's feet too.
Was it tho? certain teams like the coyotes bleeding money.Players contracts ballooning and pussified individuals trying to outlaw checking, thats not the nhl I grew up with
