"As the game progresses, you're trying to go up there and get a hit," Swisher said, according to the New York Daily News. "If you don't, people let you know about it. It's a tough spot. Hey man, I guess that's playing in New York. ... That's New York for you. It's a crazy game. Being here in New York, obviously there's a lot of expectations. I don't know what to say, bro. I'm just going to kind of let it go."
"It hurts," Swisher told reporters. "Sometimes I'm a sensitive guy, and some of the things people say, they get under your skin a little bit. I've been lucky to be here for the past four years, bro. We're not going to go out like this. We're going to go to Detroit and give everything we've got."

"I'm one of those guys that if you give me a hug, I'll run through a brick wall for you, man. ... It's tough. It's really tough. You want to go out and play for your city, play for your team. Right now, it's just really tough."

yeah.................he's got to go.

Yeah reading thos quotes this morning I couldn't believe it, he just doesn't get it. Dude your fukking garbage what the fukk you expect a pat on the back? Atleast A-rod knows the deal.

Swisher is lost fukk that guy . Watch Texas sign him to replace to Hamilton :rudy: one idiotic prick for another .
But this budget shyt does make me less excited for the team the same players every year same results in the playoffs . I mean not saying its the best system but the feeling of getting a new player to shake up the system was the best.

Next year it will be the same team no promising rookies coming up next year , no free agents so were stuck with this same non clutch team

You're saying everything I thought about how fans feel about this team. We're seeing ARTICLES about it now. You could sense it every time you're there. The budget thing is designed towards having a system. The 2000's Yankees had to eat money because they couldn't give prospects away. Now Cash is drafting for actual replacements going forward instead of doing what the Dodgers did.

All the NY teams are doing this, pricing out the real fans. I understand its NYC and its a business first and foremost but when is it enough for them ? Why price out the fans that support you during hard times.

For the same reason they wanna price out hard working people that live here. They don't want us here and if we wanna be here we're gonna pay extra. All those old stories about how grimy it used to be and how much character NYC had, older heads hate that shyt. The bougie people who live in really nice areas hate that shyt. Once they got a couple of bougie people in office (Giuliani and Bloomberg) they managed to turn NYC into Bougie Town at the expense of most of the 8 million stories here.

shyt, they go extra hard at Yankee Stadium because it's the only thing in the borough they can gentrify.

The new stadium sucks. The atmosphere is awful...the security ppl are a bunch of morons, you're not allowed to have fun a anymore.

I got kicked out for saying a$$hole on Saturday night. Kicked out!

wow, Ive heard the security actually tells fans not to boo opposing players, I didnt personally witness it but I believe it, I didnt go at all this year cause the first 3 years when I went I was pretty disgusted and then after all this high priced bullshiiit Hal is saying they have a budget.

theres no reason you cant do both, the budget is pure greed not any system, the Tigers, the team that is kicking our ass, put 80 percent of their revenue into the team this year. Yankees making money hand over fist and only putting less then 50 percent of their revenue in theirs.

It's not about the revenue. It's about the payroll and the restrictions it has now under the new CBA. The threshold the Yankees are trying not to go over is more or less a hard cap. The Tigers' payroll is $120 mil. Ours is $195. The Yankees don't wanna go over $189 mil because it fukks them over in the draft.
