I grew up in DC area, now live in LA. I've been to a rack of cities

LA: beautiful scenery, weird people, not a real city

NYC: probably my favorite city of all. Diversity, culture, food like no other.

Hong Kong: most impressive skyline, luxe lifestyle, pretty diverse for an Asian city, amazing food

Tokyo: crazy shopping, a little too sterile and racially homogenous, good food

Osaka/Kyoto: more crazy shopping, less influenced by western culture, good
Japanese seafood dishes, crazy Samurai temples

Fukuoka: where pork ramen (hakata or tonkotsu) was invented. They have a ramen food court that had the best fukking ramen.

London: great diversity, shytty weather, friendly people, lots of style and culture, expensive

Seoul: very high tech, not very diverse, great nightlife and food, amazing public transportation

Barcelona: my favorite European city, great weather, nude beaches, friendly people, bomb food, and one of the world's largest party scenes

Paris: very well kept city, food and culture like no other, people aren't as unfriendly like the stereotype

Venice: everybody should go here at least once. The entire city looks like nothing you've ever seen. Not much nightlife, very touristy, and expensive, but it's definitely worth it.

Rome: if you're a Christian, seeing the Vatican is something you won't forget. Not very diverse, but has great food, crazy architecture, and good shopping

Florence: go here and eat! The most random places had some of the best food I had in my life. (Word to al pirata) this region is known for Tuscan food (grilled local meats, fresh produce, etc) and bomb gelato on every block

Amsterdam: not very diverse, people weren't very friendly, interesting food, great museums to wonder in while you're high, decent nightlife, crazy bicycle system

I would say Berlin, Shanghai, and Hong Kong should be added to the list of great cities.

I know. I don't have the kind of money to travel. Flights and hotel are expensive. :sadbron:

I have visiting various cities in the US and Canada, and out of them all, NYC is the best.

True. They are expensive Get around the US as much as you can though just that will open you up to new things.:obama:

Sounds like your cousin is descended from swagless stock, friend. There's no other reason for such an experience. LA is barely a real city. It's not even top 5 in the country.

So people in new york have an elitist attitude. I see now why he wants to move here. Its easy to fit in somewhere and make friends in los angeles instead of as you're saying, coming from some sort of high stock to have have better interactions with individuals. People see insanity on new york subways daily, people being accosted and everyone just watches and minds their business. Its sad, its disgusting and obviously,

Its so demonic, friend.

Good list. I would have to agree on barcelona, it's a beautiful place with amazing food and culture. A bit racist but most european cities are.

To add:

Hong kong would be my go to place to move, amazing food, great night life, close to macau and all these southeast asian countries.

Dubai: everything is fake and hot as hell. No culture, no life, no soul, every thing is super commercial. The only thing real is the immigrant population and their culture.

Dublin: probably the friendliest people I've ever encountered, I don't know if it was just people wanting to find out more information or what.

bangkok: cheapest place I been to, everything here is cheap as fukk, beautiful place, great people, some of the best food in asia

Taipei: best food in asia hands down

Beijing: really nice place, crazy traffic, crazy smog, disguting public bathrooms, amazing cultural spots, great wall like an hour away.

Italy: Rome is wack to me, venice was wack to me, florence was nice.

Amsterdam: one of my favorite european cities, I biked everywhere, lovely water ways, pretty decent food

London: my favorite european city, i just love the culture, the city, the diversity

paris: overrated to me, nothing special except the preservation of their art and culture.

istanbul: amazing city, a ton of history, ton of culture, very unique place, it's almost a bit magical. People are nice there, food there is great, and very progressive even though it's mostly muslim.

Tokyo: ehh.... nothign special to me

Montreal is definitely a nice place as well, but it's too cold and people there are kind of a$$holes.

Sooner or later I want to go to south america just to see the culture there.

new york city doesn't have a great beach culture. smh @ those dirty brown waters over there.

It's just too rowdy and stinks.

I'm not even a people person, i deal with specific people. I'm not just open to everybody like that, I'm very picky.

No one said anything about "high" stock, friend. Let's not be dishonest and put words in friends' mouths. And let's also not forget that while we're speaking of elitism and insanity that LA is home to Hollywood, the modern Babylon, the center of the media elite, where wealthy celebs congregate, plastic surgery abounds, and people worship fame and demonic behavior.

Paris disappointed you?

I thought it's probably the best looking city I've seen, the way everything just looks so old and stylish, parts of london ate also like that, but we've obviously go so much newer, modern looking building because of all the bombing during the war.

Anyone been Havana?

Obviously wouldn't wanna live there, but that city is a real eye opener, just seeing all the old cars driving about and old falling down buildings, despite the poverty, it's pretty beautiful in a way.

Yeah i really didnt like paris, i thought it was super overrated. I jsut don't find anything special about it. it's weird i know.

I never been to havana but I did see it on the travel channel and it did looked beautiful. I can legally go there as well, maybe i'll hit it up next year.

Out of all the caribbean islands, puerto rico has to be my favorite one, it's so beautiful there, good infrastructure, great food, and nice people.

I went to Colombo Sri Lanka for a day, that was an interesting place. Also went to male, Maldives for a day, kind of a typical island city.

Some of the places I've been to and my opinions on them.

Seattle: I live here. It's not the Goat, but from July-September it might be the best city in the country to live. 70-85 temperatures. Downtown doesn't have lots going on, but the small little communities have things going on. Plus Lake Washington is just minutes away.

Vancouver: Amazing city. Water, mountains, urban literally all in one place. You can go to the beach and play in the snow in just a couple hours. Lots of beautiful Asian women and food. I'd live there if I could.

Portland: If you love beer and strippers you'll probably like Portland. Small city, outdoorsy, way too many hipsters for me. They are known for being a food city. Only have the Blazers and Timbers so not many sports.

San Francisco: Only been twice and both times just for the day. Great city with lots to do and lots to see. I hear the weather can be shyt though. One tier down from being a Goat city. Very expensive.

LA: LA has some of the makings of being the goat city. Beaches, women, and weather. Tons of entertainment and things to do. The downside is of course the traffic and the fact that it feels more like it's own state then an actual city as everything is so far apart. Also how can you be the Goat city when you don't even have an NFL team?:troll:

Chicago: Only been once for 4 days. I was blown away how great it was. Sports, entertainment, and Lake Michigan all easily accessible. The weather can be pretty brutal in both winter and summer though.

Washington DC: I haven't been since I was 13. I won't speak much on it. I respect DC and consider it a must see, but from what I remember it's not Goat level.

New York: It really has everything one can ask for. Entertainment, shopping, history, sports, nightlife, cultures from all over the world. The weather can be shytty in both summer and winter, but when it's right it really is great. Downside is the cost to live there.

London: 1st off the weather can be shytty. If you can get past that London is Goat status. Tons of culture in every way. Food, women, entertainment, shopping, and history. It has it all. They don't have all the big sports that the USA has, but if you love soccer you're in luck.

Paris: Paris is all about culture, fashion, and preserving their history. Amazing architecture all around. Love the little cafe restaurants that can be found on every corner. Nothing beats getting a fresh baguette and just walking around looking at the city. Might not be goat status, but it's real close.

Amsterdam: More to Amsterdam then weed and prostitutes. The center of Amsterdam feels small, but there are a lot of things going on. The layout of the city is crazy so ride a bike or take a boat and just cruise through the canals. If you love art Amsterdam has plenty of good museums.

Barcelona: Might be my favorite city in the world. Beaches upon more beaches just minutes away from downtown with restaurants on the beach. Beautiful women, beautiful architecture, and great food.

Venice: Been to Venice twice. I do highly recommend going, but don't make it a long stay. It gets real crowded and hot there. Best thing to do is get off the main "streets" and walk in the neighborhoods.

Rome: Been to Rome twice. Mixed reviews on Rome. I love all the history and old buildings. It gets very crowded and hot. Rome is actually a dirty city and has poor transportation. It has some must sees though: Vatican City, Colosseum, Patheon, and Palatine Hill. Never really like the Romans. Seemed rude.

Florence: Great city. Haven't spent much time here, but I love the vibe. Very artsy. Very scenic with rollings hills around the city and close enough to many smaller cities for wine tasting excursions.

Other cities I've been to that aren't huge.

Lyon, France; Strasbourg, France; Nice, France; Monaco; Heidelberg, Germany; Cologne, Germany; Innsbruck, Austria; Lucerne, Switzerland; Pisa, Italy; Cinque Terre, Italy; Charleston, SC; Charlotte, NC; Maui; Cabo San Lucas; Salt Lake City; Albuquerque; San Diego; Phoenix; Las Vegas; Anchorage, Alaska.

Never been to Asia so I can't speak on it, but I'm sure Hong Kong and a couple others could be in the running as well. From where I've been though it's between New York and London.

Thinking about moving to NY been applying for jobs, MI is :sadcam:

Really thinking about Brooklyn, what's the lifestyle/cost of moving to NY straight out of college?
BK rents have gone up a lot... + most areas in BK are served only by local trains that make 29 stops b4 u get to the city.

BX is where it's at, cheaper rents and the 4, 5 and D will have you in the city expeditiously
