I grew up in DC area, now live in LA. I've been to a rack of cities
LA: beautiful scenery, weird people, not a real city
NYC: probably my favorite city of all. Diversity, culture, food like no other.
Hong Kong: most impressive skyline, luxe lifestyle, pretty diverse for an Asian city, amazing food
Tokyo: crazy shopping, a little too sterile and racially homogenous, good food
Osaka/Kyoto: more crazy shopping, less influenced by western culture, good
Japanese seafood dishes, crazy Samurai temples
Fukuoka: where pork ramen (hakata or tonkotsu) was invented. They have a ramen food court that had the best fukking ramen.
London: great diversity, shytty weather, friendly people, lots of style and culture, expensive
Seoul: very high tech, not very diverse, great nightlife and food, amazing public transportation
Barcelona: my favorite European city, great weather, nude beaches, friendly people, bomb food, and one of the world's largest party scenes
Paris: very well kept city, food and culture like no other, people aren't as unfriendly like the stereotype
Venice: everybody should go here at least once. The entire city looks like nothing you've ever seen. Not much nightlife, very touristy, and expensive, but it's definitely worth it.
Rome: if you're a Christian, seeing the Vatican is something you won't forget. Not very diverse, but has great food, crazy architecture, and good shopping
Florence: go here and eat! The most random places had some of the best food I had in my life. (Word to al pirata) this region is known for Tuscan food (grilled local meats, fresh produce, etc) and bomb gelato on every block
Amsterdam: not very diverse, people weren't very friendly, interesting food, great museums to wonder in while you're high, decent nightlife, crazy bicycle system

now if this person were to tell me that NY is the greatest city on earth I'd be more inclined to believe just of the range of cities he has hit up. LOL at you other bums saying NY just cause you live there.
live a little breh before you make that statement.
My cousin who has lived in ny all his life came to los angeles to visit his cousin (me) and said "i gotta move here" after a few days. Why? He said the people here were a lot more friendly. He approached a young lady for conversation and he was like "wow, the girls out here actually like talking" I feel that new york has so much demonic energy that it takes tragedy for friends out there to come together and on any average day friends are mean to one another and ignore one another. NYC doesnt embrace friendship to the extent it should, friend.
