There's one side of the moon that never faces earth so what could be back there? Observers from earth will never know.
My opinion is like it costs millions of dollars to send up a rocket, just the rocket. It will cost even more to send up a robot with the rocket. It will cost even more than that to send up astronaunts.
That money, right now, can be used to fix America's economy.

Look, all of you stating "we did that once, dont need to go back/political reasons, its just rocks, etc", I understand ur points.

BUT this was & is to this day the BIGGEST thing humans have ever accomplished, and that was nearly 40 years ago and we haven't ever tried to duplicate it?

Do you know how much money could be made these days off a documentary/reality type show about travel to the moon? Billions. In this new media age, there's billions of dollars on the table should someone travel to the moon and turn it into a show.

yup.
high def cameras filming a moon landing/moon walk being broadcast
live back to earth would be amazing. turn the camera back to Earth
so we can be reminded just how small and fragile our gem of a planet really is.

i think that it would be just as powerful today as it was 40 years ago.
