We continue to get fed good music by our local artist.....thats how we eat....what young hip hop artist from NY has blown up recently? ASAP Rocky had to emulate nikkaz from the South did he not? West didnt lose the cold war bruh....they shytted on the East something serious and in the end we lost two great's so we both lost....

I can't speak for all but I support my underground NYC circle more than you know sir. I have an Internet radio station called On Blast Radio that I've been broadcasting since 2009. I play nothing but underground artist from NYC and all over the world. I have a spin off show based on the west coast and we even had jay rock and nipsey hussle on our show. I play a lot of east coast artist and indie acts from the south and the west. I do my part. If I like the music no matter what region, I'm on iTunes copping. Like I did nas and Kendrick, Sean price, ASAP rocky, Joey badass and many more. I also do open mic showcases here in Brooklyn for any and all artist to come and perform for prizes. I also had a short lived video show on YouTube which I interview up and coming artist. I try and do my part sir.

The west coast is not the only place capable of liking local talent. In ny we have asap mob, joey bada$$ and the pro era,action bronson,roc marciano,french, mr mfn exquire etc. They sell out shows in new york. The only person from the west whose really been relevant in the last ten years was game. We'll see what happens with kendrick

As a down south nikka I do feel like we right now but the NY hate is just silly. Nas dropped a strong AOTY contender, Jay Z is still the biggest hip hop act out, Nicki Minaj is a star, they got young nikkas like Joey Badass (who I really like) spittin that shyt, French Montana doing his thing right now even tho I'm not really a fan I cant deny what French is doing right now (free Max B) Busta Rhymes still breaking in studios around the country crashing boys remixes, Sean Price coming with some solid music. All this said, no NY is not what they used to be but they still in the mix.
