The west coast is not the only place capable of liking local talent. In ny we have asap mob, joey bada$$ and the pro era,action bronson,roc marciano,french, mr mfn exquire etc. They sell out shows in new york. The only person from the west whose really been relevant in the last ten years was game. We'll see what happens with kendrick

And the west coast is delusional if it think it beat new york at anything. After the two greats(big and pac) died, new york continued on with more music and new acts while the west fell all the way off. NYC had it on lock after big and pacs death up until the emergence of the south in 2005

but how come none of them have blown up? ASAP & French have but did they not need help from the South? ASAP with his jacked style from Texas and French getting the co-sign from Ross? Dre co-signed Kendrick and the city fell behind him....we all know why the West was not put on after Pac died....they were blackball status for the most part.....that is why from the early 2000's till maybe a couple of years ago the West Coast underground scene was the best.....NY's right now though is just ridiculous....and hopefully you all support them right cause nikkaz like SkyZoo who have dropped heat consistently need to be brought to the forefront....

Politics and lack of work ethic from certain artist to keep it real and the "90'sbabynewyorkers"is a big reason why. Plus alot of these guys are new, its going to take some time. As far as the west being blackballed, i doubt it. NYC simply had more guns on deck than the west did. This is the first time the west is really getting back on since that era
