It doesn't make sense for Spider-man to be old. He gets bit in high school and he's been MIA in the movie story arch.

Question is, who do they get to play him if they're going to re-cast it? I really hope this happens. Spider-man needs to be in The Avengers :damn:

I would say give a brother a chance but we got Falcon, War Machine & now Black Panther :wow:

So I say put a Spanish dude in the spidey suit. :troll: :manny:

I say keep Garfield, but how would they merge the first two ASM films with what happened in Avengers? Did ASM happen beofre or after Avengers? It wouldn't be that hard though. They just need to make it happen :sadcam:

Yea if they just gave it a bit more serious tone (beforehand)

could have been on some Mr. Glass shyt in terms of loneliness/sadness.

They also cut out his best line. "You wanted to be the hero.......now you have to pay the price." :demonic: Also it seemed like Harry and Electro had a genuine partnership, not the tired trope of "you get me what I need then I'll betray you" like every other cliche action movie. They blew that. Electro was the most powerful Spiderman villain brought to the big screen at that point and they have him die like THAT? :dahell: What a total fukking asspull.

http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/576523/20141219/captain-america-civil-war-spider-man-appearance.htm

A source told Screengonzo that SonyPictures co-chairman Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige will meet in January to discuss the future of "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU. The said meeting will reportedly take place at Pinewood Studios, where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Civil War" are believed to have been filming. No further details were provided, but sources said some "good news" will be revealed sometime in February. Likewise, Feige is said to be pleased with where his deal with Sony Pictures is headed.

How the superhero will be featured into the MCU remains uncertain. However, according to the source, one plan is for Spider-Man to make an appearance at the end-credits scene. According to Screengonzo, it would make sense if the character will be featured in "Captain America: Civil War," since the film is scheduled for filming sometime in February or March. It coincidentally links to the mentioned release of the good news in February.

HNGN also thought it's likely for the superhero to be introduced in "Civil War." The movie's directors, brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, will also reportedly helm the sequel. According to Screengonzo writer Josh Johnson, the directors will also "tackle a new Spider-Man trilogy, taking on directing and writing tasks." "They don't have anyone cast yet, but they certainly have a list of potentials they are going over once the deal is done," he said, adding that Marvel is already looking at a list of possible candidates to be the next Spider-Man.

However, it's still uncertain if "The Amazing Spider-Man" will really make an appearance in "Captain America: Civil War." Sony and Marvel have yet to confirm the reports. According to Johnson, the source is the same person who provided the confirmed details of Vision's look in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

:ohhh:

ETA: source is sketchy. Never mind.

fukk it just use garfield. he was fine as spidey.

if you don't use garfield it won't feel like a true crossover.

but if you DO use garfield the MCU becomes that much bigger.
even more so if sony is essentially loaning spiderman rights back to marvel, they SHOULD demand that it IS garfield, as to promote their films, and to avoid a 'which spiderman is better' fued which they will lose by default bias

It's not a loan...it's basically Marvel taking this nikka back and letting Sony still get some $$$ and distribute like Iron Man and Hulk with Paramount. I think Garfield was theeee Spider-Man on screen, but Sony :ufdup:Letting that imp Avi Arad run wild in the story room. This shyt was already happening; the hack just put the full court press on Sony to bow down.

:wow:The Mouse gets what the Mouse wants.

I can honestly say I'm not excited for this. When are they going to do the Infinity Wars? Story seemed like it was heading that way for phase 3 before civil war came up
